Watching this from when it was on earlier on USA. Weird movie. Not sure I get it. Brad Pitt is doing an OK job even if his hair is icky in this movie. Who thought he should get such an obvious dye job and bad hair cut? He looks plane goofy. And his playing “clueless” is not very well done. He just seems kind of constipated or something. Or maybe he wants that glassy blank stare on purpose because he’s clueless?
Well anyway, we’ll see how this turns out. It might be good. I do love that he said he’d be moseying along. I say mosey myself and I thought I was the only one who did! Yay writers!
Yesterday we watched Wing Commander which was very interesting. Freddie Prince Jr did a good job.
We also watched Corky Romano which was really really goofy but lots of fun. Sometimes it is nice to watch something goofy.
And I just realized I never posted about the movies we rented. We watched The In-Laws and Italian Job and Road to Perdition since last week that we rented. We never did get to make that swap with my friend because of how busy we were. Oh well. But the In-Laws was really off kilter but interesting. I’d like to watch it again now that I know the whole story… hehe Road to Perdition was very sad but well done. It is a serious movie so you really need to be in the mood to watch it. Italian Job was good. Marky Mark wasn’t as big a role as I thought. The rest of the cast was very entertaining and totally overshadowed him. He was really forgettable. I really really liked Seth Green’s character. And the minis? What a great idea. Awesome!

It is a remake of Death Takes a Holladay… but I don’t know… it was kind of quiet and slow moving. Three hours was too long. HEHE I think they could have done this better. I don’t blame the actors… it was either production or writers or everyone. And the freak who made Brad Pitt’s hair look so nasty.

OK, my mom was trying to talk to me so I didn’t really understand the ending. And I rewatched it five times.
So what happened? Did the original body guy get returned to his body when death was done with it? Or did death get released from his job as death? If so who became death? What the heck??? So are those two together now?
I don’t know… maybe because I was tired or because I sat through the longest most boring fast and testimony meeting ever… I was just like “OMG move along already movie” There were some awesome scenes… I loved where he was talking to the Jamacian lady. But it seemed so slllllloooooowwwww

I’d say watch for it.
But it is one of those SERIOUS movies. So you have to be in the mood for it. IF you are having a downer day? Don’t watch it. 🙂 ANyway.. that’s the only warning I’d give. TO make sure you are in the mood for it. Otherwise you’ll be like “eh”

I don’t know the answers to those questions…can’t remember, which seems really stupid. I just remember being entranced by it…and the oddness of it appealed to me for some reason, and I don’t usually like that in shows. I like the message to be in my face because I’m shallow, haha.
It was very slow.

Lots of good scenes interrupted by very slow long dragged out bits. 😦
And yeah… either I had to think too hard or they just left it way too open…

I mean, I know everyone is like “Oooh Brad Pitt, he’s sooo hot…” But I swear everything I see him they make him icky. This movie was REALLY bad.
Oh well he still looked better than Marky Mark in the Italian Job. Marky Mark looked constipated the whole time. I felt like reaching into the screen and giving him X Lax. HAHAHA

btw, you won’t believe it – after we talked about it, that night I looked at the guide and MC was playing it – that night. I was floored.
I didn’t feel up to watching it though. I’ll wait for them to play it.
