OK, I’m thinking my camera is probably and most likely gone at this point. It’s so big it has been found and is obviously not being turned in. I’ve tried the bad side of this and even looked on ebay and craigslist. Maybe someone didn’t mean to take it out of maliciousness, but the point is, it is gone and each hour makes it less likely to get back.
Please, feel free to keep the prayers going. I know I will. Thank you for your love and support. I appreciate it.
I wish I could go out and replace this camera but I just do not have the finances to do it. With looking at 1,000 dollars roughly, it’s just not likely to happen anytime soon. Unfortunately this affects me in a bad way because I do use this to garner a little extra money. Not enough to be able to afford indemnity insurance which I’m wishing for right about now… *SIGH*
Thanks for passing the story around. Thanks to all the people who have read the story. Thanks to the couple of friends offering to donate to “the cause”. I appreciate your love and support.
I will keep you guys posted in the original topic until something major happens. Watch for edits.
With love,
Lady Ozma

Whenever you do get another camera, you really should get insurance on it.

I don’t know how to do that or how much it is. With most of my work being non-paid it’s hard to justify the expense… *SIGH*

I mean, I don’t even let the other people in my friggin system use my camera half the time.
But if you only have $1000 worth of equipment, you’re talking a $10 expense. Nice exchange IMO. I shoot a lot in the ghetto so it’s necessary for me.

It is very very murky to say the least. *SIGH* It’s hard to justify any expense that’s extra these days, but at the same time, I just can’t go through this.
I must have been really off by the time we got back home because I’m so crazy I usually check five times to make sure I have everything and then stress I forgot something anyway. But I didn’t. I mean, I am really known by that. I think I have some strong OCD tendancies…

Sorry, I think the fumes from the flooded house are getting to me. I’m glad I”m going away for a week. I hope when I come back my house won’t be so toxic anymore.. yikes.

Yes. My entire basement. We were up all night Sunday night sucking water out. It was awful. Today the carpet got ripped out and the peeps put in these industrial fans and dehumidifiers. But OMG, the stench… They also put down some stuff to keep the toxic crap from growing… it’s awful. I feel sick to my stomache and a migraine is forming.

Ugh. I know about that FAR too well. If you need advice on what to do from there, I spent the last five months researching wet basements.

Well the peeps came in to spray it down, move stuff, cut out the carpet… they got the industrial stuff going. They come in for another moisture check on Friday. So my house? Total pit for the next few weeks. Yikes. I hate that.

Where did the flooding come in from?

Up through the basement. It was the amount of rain we had. Too much for the ground to handle. So many people here are dealing with the flooded house situation. No one has flood insurance either since we’re not in flood plains or near water. Good grief.

Definitely. Do you need to waterproof the basement? I can tell you the best things to do…

I’m not sure that we can. We’ve never had a problem. But this was extreme… Yuck. I can’t believe how many people are suffering through this. Insane. I really was about to build an ark!

She’s nuts. It’s not even that bad. I don’t know what her problem is. I mean it was mowed a week ago. Guess what. Then it rained. A lot. The grass is getting long. But good grief, it’s not wild. It was mowed A WEEK AGO.
She’s a nut. She doesn’t understand how to take care of grass anyway. Just so not what I needed.

Set the clipping height lower on the lawn?
It should be this long: —-

HAHA
Well we’ve tried to explain to her that the length we cut it is the right length for the type of grass it is. However when it rains so much that the town floods… well the grass is going to grow and it’s going to look a little rough around the edges… so to speak.
What do you do? YOu can’t mow it if it’s wet! Crazy lady. And it wasn’t that bad. Good grief.

Meh. If she complains this much to you, then she’s used to complaining this much to everyone and you’re not a big deal.

She’s crazy crazy over it all. I mean it’s not like we’re leaving it to mow because we are too lazy. Or because we are slobs. It hadn’t been mowed in a week because of TORRENTIAL FLOODING DOWNPOURS. And it had been mowed the week before. So I’m choosing to ignore the crazy lady. I mean what the heck?
I think she’s just upset because of all the things that went wrong with the house this week that the long grass and hte trash in our drive from the flood was too much for her to take. Well guess what, my week’s been hard, too.
*SIGH*
She’s making me pay for the repairs to the AC. THe guy that came in last told me the air filter was not necessary. TOld me not to go get a new one. Then took the air filter out and put nothing in. So now it’s all clogged up. I asked the guy if he was sure because I thought they were necessary plus I have a kid with weak lungs from cancer and really need an air filter. OK, yes, it’s my fault there was no air filter in there, but what am I supposed to do if a professional tells me that? It’s a brand new unit. How am I supposed to know they haven’t come up with new technology? She said she’d have questioned it. Well I did question it. I appologized as soon as the new guy said something. I rang her right up on the phone flipping out because I was so worried about that thing. But you know what? That guy told me that it probably didn’t really get that much worse than it already was because of my actions. I’ve had trouble since day one with that thing not really heating/cooling my house well. I’ve told them I thought it might have a clog somewhere maybe in the ductwork or something. I was told it was my imagination. Hmmm, we’ll see how it functions after it’s cleaned. YOu better believe I’m going to ring her up if there’s any sign this is working better than it has since I moved in. Because if so, that means there was a problem long before I came along and stopped using air filters for a year. This has been a problem since I moved in back in 2005.
I understand it’s expensive and I told her I was so sorry numerous times. And I was worried. But when she heard the warranty company would not fix it she went real nasty on me. And she was like, “You better change that filter every month or else.” OMG. *SIGH*
