So I ended up calling MicroSHAFT about the WinBLOWS installation problem.

Get this lovely young woman on the phone. Who proceeds to tell me my CD “knows” windows is installed on another hard drive (Yes it is sitting on top of my computer) so I need to try to uninstall windows on the other hard drive and then HOPE (yeah she said that folks) that my xp install will then accept the product id. Um… er… no. Don’t want to risk THAT. I said “What if I cannot uninstall it off this other hard drive?” (After all it is sitting on TOP of my computer thus I cannot uninstall it.) “Then you might have to buy a new OS.”

So she even tries to give me a NEW product key. A nice shiny never been used before (I assume) one. “Product ID not valid” GRRRR.

So it boils down to after a one hour LONG DISTANCE (since they hide a toll free number) phone call (thank goodness for cell phones with built in long distance) she basically tells me that the all knowing cd rom “knows” I didn’t uninstall windows so that’s why it wont’ work. My options are three:
1. Uninstall windows on old hard drive and HOPE that it will then install on new hard drive.
2. Pay 35 bucks to talk to “trained” technical support and HOPE they can fix my problem.
3. Buy a new copy of WinBLOWS XP for what is it now? 200? 300??

Or my favourite… Option 4. Blow up BIll Gates. Or play Pong with Bill Gates being the pong ball.

Fricking Fracking evil MicroSHAFT.

We’re still working on other things. I’d like to figure out how to get this working so I could send them a little note. “Please inform your nose picking loser support people this is what you do…”

But to cheer me up, Sir Megabyte found this hilarious website. Three Dead Trolls In A Baggie (scroll down, links in green on the right) OMG… so funny. Go there. You have to watch Internet Help Desk. Really funny. (And 99.9% clean… a couple of finger movements all that is questionable.) And also, Every OS Sucks… hehehe I’m feeling it guys… I’m feeling it…
