I woke up fairly early and so instead of lazing like I usually do (Really should have since I won’t have a chance to again for a while… darned holiday doesn’t give me this pleasure as we are going to inlaws and like I can REALLY laze on Christmas day??) I actually pulled my sorry self out of bed and I took a shower and went downstairs (quick stop to tell the children to finish cleaning their room) and checked out the process of a DVD we were working on. Then I actually straitened up a bit and did the dishes and cleaned up around the front door. The house actually looked nice for when everyone came downstairs.
Then I returned a blockbuster DVD for elfmyst and stopped at her house. Her nieghbour is a mechanic and he fixed our Taurus. It needed a new Serpentine belt. OK, this was going to cost me fifty bucks for the part and fifty bucks labour at the shops. It cost me under 20 from Auto Zone. He put it in and only charged me 30 bucks. Excellent.
While at elfmyst ‘s house, I super swept her kitchen. Gave it a really long and good sweep. Whew… dust and dirt everywhere. Her dogs track in a LOT of dirt. Then I cleaned up her entertainment center, entryway, and the living room. Everything but vacuuming. It felt good to be industrious.
I came home and the house here was still pretty good so I went upstairs and watched Tru Calling and put away the last of our laundry. including Sir Megabyte’s stuff. I got everything but something like 9 shirts. I ran out of coat hangers. But I told him and told him if he pulled out what he didn’t want/didn’t fit that we would probably be able to hang up the last of his shirts. Hopefully he will do that this week. So I put the shirts in a basket under his hanging clothes. My bedroom is now all clean and nice. Just needs a good vacuuming!
I wrote up my Christmas cards. Then I made supper and now I’m just relaxing. Very busy today but my house is nice and I feel good about my hard work.
Now I’m watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I think I’ll watch number 2 next. 🙂

The first one was great
I enjoy watching it, I try to catch it every year. Cracks me up… hehe
Number 2… well… Cousin Eddie was a hoot and that’s why I watched it. Other than that i was actually kind of sad they did it. Can’t believe National Lampoon peoples would want their name on it.

It was made for tv. They aired it last night on NBC. I think they were trying way too hard. Cousin Eddie was great and all, but I dunno. It just didn’t have the same feel.
Think about it like this. Some really big fan decided to write their own and somehow managed to get Randy Quaid to agree to do it. You get the basic idea.
Basically Randy got bit on the rear by a monkey so the dr running the tests on Randy and the monkey sent Randy and his family to like some Hawaiin island so they would not sue. So it was him and his wife and one kid (the rest live with Grandma except for the stripper girl from Vegas Vacation who I guess is still a stripper in Vegas. Then Audrey (Griswold girl) joins the crew as well as Uncle someone old. So they go to this island and then get shipwrecked and have to rely on cousin Eddie to provide for them. HEHE
