Once more friends only to be paranoid and jazz

Sir Megabyte called.

He was at the airport (he got there two hours early) and wanted to give me a heads up! OK, he said that he talked for like an hour and a half to Luigi. I guess this would be who his boss would be? At any rate, this is who he’s been talking with. Who had the phone interview with. Sir Megabyte also went and talked to Luigi’s boss some as well. Not for real long, but a little. This guy decided to try to do the hardball boss routine. Doug’s a marine, he can cope. He is a good guy and understand working as a team, so he was totally on the same wavelength.

While there he had to fill out some ten page app. Yipes! Part of it was the drug policy. No sweat, we are LDS. We don’t do anything. We’re so boring. 🙂

Sir Megabyte and Luigi had lunch together. Sir Megabyte thinks the day went really well. Yay!

There was competition there. EEEK. Scary. However Sir Megabyte has some stuff going for him and he went with a portfolio of example work and this guy did not. Hmmm. That’s got to be good! 🙂 The other guy was also out of state.

Sir Megabyte got to the airport and called me while in line to tell me all of this. That’s about all he had time to say other than the company is large, looks good, and looks to be a good opportunity. Then he got beeped in with the recruiter, Mark. So he quickly got off with me and went over to talk to Mark.

Mark said that he had not talked to Luigi yet, but Luigi’s boss has called and seemed really impressed with Sir Megabyte! Yay!

That’s all the news we have thus far. *SIGH* I mean that was back at 3:30 so that’s cool. I cant’ wait to hear what Luigi says!

So anyway he just got off the phone with me telling me that last little bit.

So get this. His flight was supposed to be taking off at five. Well he gets there right around 3. That’s two hours. Weeeeelll. Between the air-commuters and the holiday weekend (hey it is government they get Monday off) the place was PACKED. He spent over an hour in line just to get his ticket!! (So note… if you ever do this, you might want to see if you can get your ticket when you arrive… hey, it is worth a shot!) So he got around to the security and there were even MORE people there and he had no way to make it through the line. He called me at 4:30 to see if we had money in case he had to fork over cash for a change of ticket.

He just got off the phone with me again giving me his new flight info.
Flight takes off at 9:30.
Flight lands at 10:45
Sir Megabyte due home hopefully 11:15.
Cost to us FREE

Actually it was rather funny, he says that he had the same ticket guy who was like really appologetic. Of course he walks from the ticket counter to the security and like NO ONE was there. Figures. So another note. never fly out at like 5 pm. 🙂

Well, Sir Megabyte already told me today he refuses to live in Fredericksburg. He doesn’t want the commute. *SIGH* Well he better hope for a really really good job offer. I mean really good job offer. We can’t afford to live very much further north. 😦

Well anyway, we think he might be in…
