Well it happened again. I started falling asleep on the sofa and so I go to bed and then I couldn’t fall asleep. Why???
And then of course the kids woke me up bright and early and I couldn’t get back to sleep, try though I did. So I finally gave up and picked up laptop. Our network was down. Blah. So I played some text twist and stuff. My eyes started getting droopy so I was putting the computer down when the kids came in and said that the Elders were here. EEEK. Out of bed and dressed in about 22 seconds. Told Sir Megabyte and ran downstairs to greet the Elders.
So Sir Megabyte got up and came down and we visited with the Elders some. They are good guys and we love when they drop in on us.
Then I checked our voice mail and EEEK remember that that we have friends coming over. Never fear, we are fairly OK and ready so I race around, straiten up, and head to Wal-mart for some good “party” food. Chips, dip, cheese log, etc.
I get home and put stuff away and then our friends came over. Well he and I talked “shop” and looked at each other’s online work. I asked his advice on the project I’m working on for mhovley. He had some good ideas and said he’d also look into it. Hopefully this ball will get rolling. 🙂 I am going to work on the graphic side of things for now I suppose and see if he turns anything up and try to continue to brainstorm myself.
We grilled in the freezing rain, aren’t we nuts? After dinner the kids all watched movies and we played cards. We played this game that Sir Megabyte got for Christmas, Split. It was really really fun and very interesting. We had a blast. Glad we got that game! Then we played Phase Ten. We were totally goofing off and quoting Shrek and other corny stuff.
They just left and so here I sit journaling the day. I’ll clean up tomorrow (though really I don’t think there’s that much to do).
We had total fun.
Oh to visit our friends (shameless plug for them) go to http://www.halefromcolumbus.net He’s a good guy. He just finished up school and is looking for work should anyone want to hire him! HEHE
Note to self… call Renee and find out the rules to Nerts. It was a lot of fun. Also Note: Need more cards we’ve apparently need new decks of regular cards. Argh.

It is just a special deck for concentration rummy, but who cares.
We have just about every card game out there. We’re like addicts. There’s one I want to get but I have to order it from Germany because they discontinued it here. 😦
But we have more than the classic Uno, Skip Bo, and Phase 10. We also have Boom-O, Split, um… crap… you know what, if you want the list I’ll have to check the box later. It is on my dining room table, but I really have to go get ready for Church. 🙂 Just comment and if you want I’ll post an entry. Also, there’s a fun game I want to get the directions for so need to call my in-laws. It is called Nerts and you play it with partners and you need just regular decks of cards but each deck must have a different backing. You need one deck for however many teams you have. (So if you have six people that’s three teams so three different decks of playing cards.)
