I’m so tired. I got in late last night. And then wasn’t even tired. So I cleaned the sofa/tv area of my parents family room. i mean really cleaned it. It’s what I do when I need to work through issues. It was nice though. By the time I got done there was nothing on the floor, the computers looked good, I had cleaned up all but one shelf on the entertainment stand. The coffee table was cleared off as well. The poor cat had no idea what was going on.
I wonder if it will stay like that until I return? HAHA. I may need to go over once a week and clean the house up for mum. I know she means well but she’s never been one for housework and now her back and leg bother her so much it is near impossible. She spends the majority of her time in her massage chair playing Everquest. I think taking care of grandpa is wearing on her too.
But as much as I worked last night, nothing really worked itself out. I don’t want to go back to Ohio but common sense says to. My heart says stay in VA with my friends and my husband and my family. I’m so miserable with the thought of leaving. And I’ve decided I’m definately not driving on Sunday… waiting for Monday. I don’t care about another missed day. The kids are doing well so they can miss a day.
Now Dad wanted to take the kids out. I had some stuff to do with them for Scouts for Caramon so he went with us. We went to the train station. That was neat. It’s so old. And so we showed him the restaurant where they used to buy tickets and the machines you buy from now. We told the boys about trains and even got to see one!
We then went to the Fire Department in Fredericksburg. I walked up to a fireman outside and said “I have a Tiger Scout here who needs to visit a fire station. He and his brother want to know if they can look around?” Well this kind fireman got excited and let them climb all over the trucks and see inside and told them all about fires and firetrucks. He also told them how that department does river safety because of the Rappahannock that goes through town. It’s really dangerous. The boys even got to get little fireman bears. HAHA… the fireman goes ‘You don’t have any brothers or sisters at home who might try to steal your bears?” They said nope and I said “Only granddaddy” and they said “Yup, granddaddy loves bears!” We all laughed. So the fireman gave my dad a bear. *BLUSHES* I felt so bad. We tried to refuse it and the fireman said “Nope, you need an official Fredericksburg Fire Department bear!
Right next door is the police station. We tried to go but couldn’t find a way in so we finally skipped it. We did stop at the Fred Depot and got a Fred schedule but were never able to ride it. So Caramon won’t get a mass transit signed off. We tried! Though he rides a school bus every day, wonder if that counts?
We also went to the pet store where we looked at fish. But mainly we went over to see the groomers taking care of dogs. There was a vet office as well so that signed off something else.
I’m so proud of my Caramon. He got just over 40 of his 50 electives as well as everything for his Tiger Patch. YAY!
