OK, packing update… I have only my camera stuff, my cds and dvds in the living room. I have finished upstairs aside for clothes and bedding. Pretty much all I have left to pack until the last week is the kitchen. I need to go get paper to do that. Perhaps I’ll do that next week. But a lot of this stuff I’m not packing till the last week.

I have three boxes here in the living room I need to move out. But they are a little too heavy for me. My hips and knees just can’t do it. Hopefully I can get them moved out by the weekend. Otherwise I’ll move them to the big blank wall where the china cabinet was and hope that that is OK for showing sake.

During Adventure Zone, Linda took me out to this Chinese buffet. YUM. A little of this, a little of that, and a whole lot of yummy! I had a good time with her. And she knows the cheapest gas station around. All the ones around here are at 2.05 and this one was 1.92! WOOHOO. Especially since I’m heading north on a mini road trip this weekend!

After that we went to the library. The first grade had a reading night. Caramon is ready for AR (advanced reader) so I’m proud of him. He’s basically on a 2nd grade level. His teacher says around the end of the first quarter, start of the second quarter. Not bad. I got a list of books about his level for him to try to read over the summer. One was an Amelia Bedelia book. I remembr those!

Leaving the library there were these lovely bushes with purple things. I took some pictures of the kids. I was hoping for a nice photo but of course the kids were punks. They were too busy goofing around… hehe. I’ll post them to my website as soon as possible.

Tonight I planted a bunch of begonias around the tree. I hope it looks nice.

I did try to see if I could see Jupiter tonight. I saw Jupiter but I was too far west for the viewing of the ISS eclipsing Jupiter. What a shame. Unfortunately I still could not see the comet. There’s a lot of cloud cover. It has rained every day this week but today. But we’ve had the cloud coverage for it!

I did try to get pictures but I could not. I can’t wait to get that attachment for my camera. The new camera is too big so it is harder to set it against the eyepiece like before. However I did get my canon and I couldn’t get anything with it either. I think the clouds are just too darned bad. Oh well. Hopefully next time?
