Elder Cook just called. One of our missionaries is getting sent home. He’s only been out for 9 months, but he’s in the National Guard and his unit was activated. 😦

Go with God, Elder. I’m sure that there must be a reason the Lord has pulled you there. Remember, the armed forces is a mission in and of itself as is Iraq. We’ll be praying for you here in the mission field as well as your loved ones back home.

Poor Elder Cook is upset. And worried as he has a friend back home in Utah in the Guard. Perhaps I’ll pray for Elder Cook and Elder Ritter tonight as well as the other missionaries here. They will definately need it as they send one of their own to the battlefront.
