On the bright note? I slept in! Yay! Of course I was kind of in and out… but I managed to keep falling back asleep quickly so that is OK.
We left at 10 AM for Kenmore. (I posted two pictures to my moblog) My mother volunteers there for the stitchery group. It’s the home of George Washington’s sister, Betty Washington. She married Fielding Lewis a cousin of Merriweather Lewis (yes of Lewis and Clark) and also a cousin to my father’s family.
After that we dropped some film off at Ritz Camera and then went over to the Einstein Bagels for mmmmmmmm good bagels. Mmmm shmear…. mmmmm been tooooooo long! Mmmmm.
From there we came home for a little bit. Not long. Just long enough I could make a few phone calls and do a quick web search. Then it was off again to visit grandpa, pick up the film, and hit the grocery store! We got home at 5:30 and then I had to clean the kitchen so I could cook dinner. And boy did I clean. I ended up not only bagging up all the recyclables, taking care of the floors, but doing two counters and not just one! Plus I cleaned out the cabinet under the sink. Found a bunch of old cleaning crap that mom said I could throw away. YAY I cleaned until 8!!! I really did hit a roll and just kept on going. In fact the other counter is almost done. There’s just some stuff for mom to take care of in the morning!! The counters are probably in culture shock though since they can actually be seen!! Ahhh, at least I don’t feel disgusted by the thought of eating something from there! Generally the counters are completely covered from the counters to the cabinets. Just junk junk junk. Fabric, food, paper, pills, pins, pencils, tape, batteries, wires, dirty dishes… you name it. I scrubbed and scrubbed the counters! After everyone went to bed I even used the wet-jet on the floors. Of course now the new wet jet pad I put on has to be changed. I will probably do that tomorrow and swiffer again.
So of course that means I didn’t do anything in our room. That’s OK, it’s mostly just laundry back there. 🙂 Since I did so much yesterday! Woot! Go me!
OK… anyway that was it… Oh last night and tonight Sir M and I played Halo. We’re really enjoying it! It’s a lot of fun!
