The men were home today as the 4th was on a weekend. That was kind of nice.

Well I had to do two loads of laundry so I was busy doing that this morning. I also played with gmail some. HEHE… fun fun.

Mum, Dad, the boys, and I ran around this afternoon. It was nasty again today so we went to Burger King to let the boys play in the play area. I can’t believe it, it is only for those under 4 foot which Caramon barely makes it in. He’s not even 8 and he’s very short for his age. What the heck? That does not seem right. Hmmm. Not that they have an enforcer or anything but just kind of weird.

We did go to Lowe’s after that. Dad needed some weedkiller. While there we also picked up something to fix the toilet because it runs constantly. I mean all you have to do is flick the handle up after flushing but apparently if you are male you can’t do this. Or at least our males can’t do this. Must come with the fact our males also can’t put a bloody roll of toilet paper on the dispenser. Anyway, we also looked at stuff to redo bathrooms and kitchens as both need to be done. There are some neat things that we were thinking about. We did also find a new set of handles and faucet for the kitchen sink because mum says they need to be replaced. Frankly the whole sink needs to be replaced but she doesn’t want to do that until they get around to redoing the kitchen. Which I don’t know if they will be able to afford since after the AC/Heater is their bedroom and then the kitchen, and finally the bathroom. That’s the order they have set forth. Frankly if I’m still here at the end of the summer I may redo the bloody bathroom because it is in dire need. At the very least I will be buying new faucet and handles for it because those barely work.

So we did the wander thing and then finally home. Dad fixed the handle and flushy thing and he replaced his air filter (yeah got two of those as well), and some other stuff. I just kind of relaxed. Since I never seem to get time off lately. Even when I get out it is to walk and walk and mostly still with the kidlets.

Tonight I worked on one side of the entertainment center. Making the movies nice and all that. All that is now left on the entertainment center is the thing above the TV which is all knick knacks and what is on top of the entertainment center which is just stuff. I can’t do that. We were able to toss some movies because mum has them on DVD or had duplicate copies.

While I did that, she worked on book purging. She filled 3 paper grocery bags. Sounds good, right? No she did two bookcases. Well that would be good except the are triple and quadruple stacked. I said “Well I suppose that’s OK for a first purge but you ARE going back.” Now I think she’s going to pout. HEHE But they are in bad shape, the dust is attrocious, and she should make it a true collection. I think she can do more. There are some I’m definately not going to fight her on, but I don’t think she’s done enough. She says she usually does two big purges a year but she hasn’t done any in the last two years which means it needs to be an extreme purge . She buys books constantly so the stocks will be replenished quickly. It’s a start though.

By the way because of how nasty it has been, the living room is HORRIBLY hot. I can’t wait till they get the heat/ac fixed because while it works OK in the rest of the house it was never carried through to this family room. Well that is something they are going to try to do… get it added down here. Gosh I hope so. With as bad as it has been and all the computers and all the people it is bad bad bad.
