Like anyone is surprised. I swear it is constatnly a whirlwind around here. Six people in one house makes for BUSY!
I got to veg a lot yesterday so that was good. I think it was long due. But mum and I worked on the living room some. This is the room the kids are sleeping in. It’s also a total junk haven, mostly collectable stuff. My mum has about a 1000 collections. Well since so much stuff in that room is breakable we really needed to work on it. We got some under the bed boxes to wrap stuff up and put under the sofa so the kids will hopefully not break them. I was also hoping to get rid of a lot of stuff since most of it is junk and she really does need to curtail her collections. I suppose she did OK. We did probably about half the room. I forgot to do before pictures unfortunately but I will take one of the half of the room that is left.
We managed to get things off the floor. We got the beautiful antique coffee table cleared off. (Yes it is an antique, we are thinking it was actually part of another piece but it is over 100 years old thus making it an antique.) We cleared off two little knick knack shelves completely. We also cleared off a small bookcase. The only knick knack shelf left from that part of the room we moved to the side of the sofa and we put a chair to box it in. We place the larger pieces back on the shelf and the rest of what was kept went into the boxes, wrapped.
What is left: under the rest of the sofa, the sofa, the lots of doll boxes, and whatever is behind the lots of doll boxes, one more shelfy thing.
We are going to put together a tiny tv cart for the boys so they can have a tv and dvd player in there. Maybe we can get some quiet time when it is really hot or rainy.
The room is looking much better. My husband came home and looked in since the door was actually open and he did a double take. Woot!
This morning we had to take Sir Megabyte’s car to get the radio fixed. After that we went to the DMV to take care of the tags for dad’s car and their truck. Well we checked and the wait time was 19 minutes. We were there almost an hour. Of course for 15 minutes they weren’t serving anyone with a B number. Then for another 10 minutes the person who was helping B number people actually talked to a cop. And when we were first there, another woman was taking care of B number people and she was taking about 15 minutes a person.
Now i don’t know what we are doing. We are waiting for my father to get into gear!!! Slow people everywhere! ARGH… LOL

Microcenter rox. It’s all computers. And real computer stuff, not like Best Buy. Check it out online http://www.microcenter.com That’s the store I went to for everything in Ohio. The nearest one here is Fairfax I think which is about an hour… something like that at any rate.
