The boys had six, yes six, bags of books for the thing today. (I ended up taking one later.) Needless to say, the boys stomped the girls in the book donation competition! HAHA! Today they had over 350 books! Isn’t that a riot? I have no idea how many were ours.

Anyway for the better part of today I spent the day taking everything out of my room and then putting down that carpet we got and then moving everything back into the room. I’m still working on putting stuff away. The carpet actually ended up fitting perfectly almost to the futon so the futon didn’t need to come out. Whew. In fact it almost perfectly went to the desk so the desk didn’t need to come out. Dad came in and lifted the desk after I took all of our stuff and dumped it onto the futon. I think slipped that one or two inches under the desk. WOOHOO. Go me! I did it almost totally by myself, that was the only part I needed help on! I’m so happy and it is nice to walk and not get spliners. I do need to vaccuum now. Ugh wish I had my kirby, mum’s vac is crappy but I suppose it *might* do OK if I can find the carpet attachment. Big might since they hardly have any carpet. I’ve been sweeping and sweeping which has helped but anyone who’s swept carpet knows… that’s not a big help.

I rearranged everything under the futon. You’d be surprised what fits under there. I laughed because Sir Megabyte told me he didn’t want to get under the bed boxes because he didn’t think they’d fit. Yeah. They more than fit. So I might go pick one up. It would be easier to slide things in and out that way.

I did move the empty tote from the storage unit into here. I’m going to put the stuff from the falling apart box that Sir Megabyte brought down here into that tote. It looks nicer, and it fits where the box was. This is misc desk stuff of Sir Megabyte. Stuff from work and etc. I don’t really know, I’ll be looking through and sorting as I watch Stargate tonight and do this.

I’m almost done. I did some much needed filing also today whle doing this whole project. So when I’m done I think things will be great! Since we cleared off two shelves last night in the great book sort, I have two of the three shelves on the little bookcase we can use. Yay! More storage! This is working well as I’m able to better organize thigns now. I am trying to think if I can use that top shelf hanging on my wall for anything but I can’t think of much. So I’m going to clear it off probably on Monday and see. I’ve got some small things that I need to store that I can just put up there for now. It can’t hold a lot of weight but these things aren’t very heavy.

I’m so excited about the carpet! WOOHOO. When I’m all done with putting things back together I’ll definately have to take a picture. I’m very proud of my work in this room. Considering what I had to work with I think I’ve done a great job!!

Today we did go to Walmart. We picked up most of the school supplies since suddenly the prices were dropping as we shopped! Seriously, the crayons dropped from 44 cents to 30 cents! HEHE. WHy not. I mean school doesn’t start till September 7th… but hey! Why on EARTH are they already doing sales? We actually went to get some canisters for me (check) and some pants for granddad (check) and some flour since Duh, mum doesn’t have any! (check)! We also wanted to pick up some of those foam flip chair bed doohickeys for the boys. Spiderman is what Joram picked. Caramon picked astrological looking stars and moons. So they are excited about that!

Ok, that’s it… gotta get back to work and get ready for Stargate!
