Saturday morning already? Wow!
I got the room done about 11:30 last night. Very proud of myself. Everything is done and all is good! Awesome!! The rug looks so nice. Ahhh and it is dreamy to walk and not worry about splinters!! The bright note is that now I swear the room seems a bit bigger as well!
Well Dad was paged all bloody night long. He’s working night shift tonight. No he’s not. Yes he is. No he’s not. Yes he is. No he’s not. What the heckfire? Ok people at the plant, get with the bloody program and make a decision that lasts more than five minutes! At this point I’m so turned around. I have no idea. I think we will still take the boys out this afternoon just to be safe. I mean what the hay? This way if he gets paged again, he can still sleep.
So now we’re trying to figure out what to do. We’re debating a movie. Get this, Harry Potter 3 has already left the theatre! What??? I hate small town theatre’s. Not that Fredericksburg is a small town. But people here seem to think it is. I mean it was. But now it has just merged into the insanity of everything else. I mean we have a population of close to 200k. Well technically the population of ‘Burg itself is under 20k but with the two neighbouring counties… it jumps it up closer to the 200k mark. It’s a commonwealth thing. Don’t ask. And where homes are over 200k for small homes built in the 70’s.. that’s definately not small town america. But things like say, the 15 cinema seems to think it is a small town so movies only stay here a few weeks. I’m used to movies staying for near about forever!! I checked the theatre by my house in Ohio. Sure enough even Garfield and Day After Tomorrow are still there. I mean geeze, both of those were panned dreadfully! That makes it what? 2 months for Tomorrow? (Which by the way I loved I think everyone should see it and ignore the critics.) I’m so mad.
So we are debating, do we stay in town and go see maybe Spidey 2 or Shrek 2? Or do we haul buns to Potomac Mills (yay cool mall and REAL outlets) and see Harry Potter 3?
Even worse is next weekend Thunderbirds debuts so that’s yet another movie the kids wanna see. OK, this is nuts! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a summer with more kidlet movies ever!!!
THough I must ask, does anyone remember the Thunderbirds International Rescue peeps being teenagers? Why on earth are they teenagers in this live action flick? ANd does anyone think live action will compare to the really cook puppets? LOL Somehow real people just seems so wrong for Thunderbirds. But we’re sooooo gonna be there!
This summer is insane for movies. I want to see so many movies that they put on the block for this summer!! Catwoman, Van Helsing, Thunderbirds, Code 46, Shrek 2, Harry Potter 3, King Arthur, Troy, The Villiage, Collateral, The Manchurian Candidate, The Terminal, Princess Diaries 2, Around the World in 80 days, Raising Helen… whew!! Plus of course what I’ve already seen; Tommorrow, Riddick, I Robot. AUGHHHH And that’s if I didn’t miss something!!
And it doesn’t appare to be getting any better this fall with Sharktale, Incredibles, Blade: Trinity, Alexander, and Sky Captain!!!
We so need to reopen The Virginians. It’s the old theatre that’s actually in The ‘Burg. It shut down for a while then reopened as a dollar theatre. I think given this year’s movies? Definately need to be reopen it!!
Well at any rate, we need to make a decision. especially if we are doing HP3 since we need to leave like in the next 15 minutes since that starts at 1. It’s about half an hour to Potomac Mills and the movie starts at 1. But we’ll need to get tickets and consider lunch. EEEK… better go!
Oh and this coming week I’m going to do the before/after of the computer side of the family room and put up a picture of our room. I’ll wait until menfolk are gone though… they get testy… bwahahaha…

Anymore to your list? Well, I’m looking forward to Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow. 😀 But that’s late summer – like after school starts again; out in September I think.
Also Alien vs Predator. That’s not a kiddie movie but I seriousily plan to go see AvP. I mean, that’s a clash we’ve been waiting for for years!

Hey I mentioned Sky Captian!
I put it with the small fall list though. 🙂 That’s September. I think Dad and I are going to go. We’re big fans of the old serials. In fact he has Commando Cody on VHS. We need to watch that… hehe
I don’t care about AvP. I’ve never watched any of the Alien movies or the Predator movies.

Oops, I was sleepy and I guess missed it. I went to Dave & Buster’s last night and then some DDRing with pals.
But am looking toward SC&WoT. 🙂

Re: Hey I mentioned Sky Captian!
I haven’t really seen any previews for it. I can’t wait for the hype to start.
I just wish it didn’t cost a bloody fortune to go to the movies. Fifty bucks for our family to go. Not cool. UGH!!!
I’m already thinking we’ll skip Shrek 2 and Spiderman 2 at those prices. Just wait till the DVDs come out (hopefully at Christmas but probably not till next year). This is why I don’t go to a lot of movies normally. It’s not so bad when it is just one of you. Fifteen bucks or whatever. But once you make it four… ouch.
a night at the movies should not be a major purchase.
