We headed out this afternoon to WildWood and the boardwalk. There were nasty riptides so we decided to not go for the beach. *SIGH* Oh well. I wish I had worn my swimsuit anyway though because the humidity was NASTY. It was very warm and with the high humidity blargh. But once it cooled off, things were much more enjoyable!

The boys got bands and so did I. This allowed me to ride rides with some of the kids. My SIL, Renee, also got a band.

So we took three cars. The four of us went in our car, my FIL took him and his wife plus my visiting SIL and her family. Finally in the last car was my step-SIL and her baby and 12 year old boy. We had a total blast! Lots of rides and walking.

I got to take some good pictures of the boardwalk and the beach and things. Plus we got some good shots of the fun. I didn’t go out to the beach to take ocean pictures so I’ll have to travel to the beach in VA for that. It was a long walk and frankly I was too hot to go out there and then not be able to cool off by getting in. But I took some of the piers and of the beach by the piers and things like that. I live near beaches so I can just go to one of them for ocean shots. No big. Of course, Sir Megabyte didn’t mind me lagging behind taking pictures. He took some as well with the little digital camera. I just had to take pictures. I didn’t want to pass that up.

We got home late and the boys were tired but it was just too much fun for them! They loved EVERYTHING. Before we left, Sir Megabyte snagged some fudge and salt water taffy from Douglass Fudge. Mmmmm fudge and taffy!

At least I’ve been to the boardwalk now. That’s cool. And I’m very glad I didn’t go when they wanted to take me last time. I was pregnant and I’d have been MISERABLE. I’d also probably would have had more complications… ugh. Besides, why go if I can’t ride the rides? I’m all about the rides!

On getting back we plugged the camera into the laptop and pulled all the pictures off. I even pulled off SIL’s pictures from her XD card.
