And humid. I can’t wait. This week we are getting the heat pump fixed. Whole new system. Hopefully this will help this house not be so hot. Or cold. I know winter is coming and it is the same… I mean all new duct work and everything. Then out comes the old duct work and woot… They are also putting the vents in the cieling so that should help a LOT since nothing can block them that way! Plus this will allow it to reach this large family room.

I cannot wait. Work starts on Wed!! They should be done by Friday but they might need MOnday to finish clearing out the old stuff.

In other news… mum is getting estimates on the windows since 1. they really do need to be replaced and 2. one got those carpenter ants. So we’re gonna see what she does. She might only do this family room, but it would help a TON with the heat/cool of thsi room alone. She might do the whole house if she can afford it. I don’t know.

So much work to do and so little time. I can’t wait. We had one estimate on windows today that I had to sit through. Don’t ask me why. Then she dragged me out to price mattresses sinc apparently they really need one of those.

Here’s the list of what needs to be done:
1. All windows replaced
2. The two doors replaced
3. Kitchen floor, cunters, cabinets, sink replaced. (Though she just put in new faucet and handles while we were gone.)
4. Bathroom, the whole kit and caboodle floor to cieling wall to wall. Use your imagination.
5. Flooring in our room and master bedroom as they currently only have the sub flooring. Her bedroom needs clean sweeping since we didn’t touch it other than her dresser drawers. And she needs new furniture that might actually FIT in there.
6. Wallpapering the living room. It’s ld and needs redone. It’s coming off in places.

That’s the housework that needs to be done. And she definately doesn’t have all the money to do it. So we’ll see what we can work in the best we can. Though frankly I’ve seen some wondrful stuff done when you don’t have big fancy five k bedroom suits. Heck our bedroom always looked halfway decent and we didn’t have a suit. All we have is a water bed of various colours because it is actually three made into one. (Long story for another time) And one chest of drawers that we picked up at an auction. We don’t need any more than that. So why bother with the big bulky crap that people fit into their bedrooms? OK, if you have a nice sized room, but mum and dad’s room is TINY and they have space issues with having no closet. ANd frankly I think the less they have the better they would be off because 1. more room 2. less flat surfaces for junk to go.

I can see that no one cleaned since I left so I guess tomorrow I hae to go through and majorly reclean. UGH.

I hate this. It’s five against one. Five slobs against one neat freak. *SIGH* Hope mum enjoyed her mini break as I did mine. She’s in for it this week! Mwahahahaha.

And I’ll post more later. Too tired to do so now. I’m going to bed. Maybe I’ll get time tomorrow if I can get stuff clean! I wasn’t up to cleaning today or posting plus I was way behind on email and had errands to run.
