I now want an Ipod.
For many nefarious reasons… none are good. not a one. ROFL…
Mum and I are making up a list of our own pirate radio station music to annoy the people with the really really loud rap music. Now I turn my radio up at times, but I don’t turn it up THAT loud… And gosh, it would just be so much fun to play with those people…
Hmmm wonder if I could find a way to do this with a pocket PC??? Hmmm…
Anyone want to donate to my IPod fund? I promise hours of enjoyment harassing crazy people… *GRINS*
I-Pod Pirate Radio Station Swiped from The Screensavers Website:
Aha! Hack… version 2. All we need is an IPod… mwahahahaha… (Wonder if we could use a pocketpc?)
I saw this on screensavers today:
Darktip: Pirate iPod Radio Station
Many iPod users attach an FM transmitter (such as the iTrip) in order to listen to their music on their car radio. But did you know you can extend the range of that radio transmitter, allowing you to broadcast your own rebel FM stations to people driving around you or in your gym? Oh yeah.
“What we need to do is hack this, but stay within FCC guidelines,” commented Kevin with a straight face. And you can do that by simply taking a knife, popping off the transmitter’s cover, and expose the antenna. This should boost your signaly 15 to 20 feet. But if you want to take it a few steps further beyond FCC guidelines, well, you’ll have to add an amplifier to the transmitter. Alex and Kevin tossed their transmitter over to Yoshi to do just that… and he unfortunately didn’t make the catch, thus rendering the bold experiment incomplete when something broke inside. Lesson of the Day #2: Don’t toss a delicate piece of electronic equipment on live TV.

(They tossed it to yoshi hoping he could add a bigger antenna. Oh yeah and Kevin used some kind of huge butcher knife… haha I thought for sure he was gonna take off a finger!)
Anyway, I thought you would find this rather amusing… *SNERK*
Hey tauzero, remember the Star Wars Canteena and the piano at Dragon Con? Mwahahahahaha….

only just now come up or has it just intensified after reading this? *GRINS* I know I’ve wanted one. And trust me, don’t settle for less. I got this little mp3 player… well it’s crappy. It holds like 8 songs. I mean OK, I only paid 20 bucks instead of 300 but still.
Oooooh to have an ipod. Then again, I could just get a pocket pc with large flash cards to hold the music. OK, they only go to a gig and not 40 like the IPod but still… HEHEHE
Now to learn how to hack a pocket pc to do this… *GRINS*

I have a couple of lj friends with ipods and I have coveted them sooooo badly for quite some time now. I also use Itunes for music on my desktop and that makes me want to have a little friend that can play so nicely with my Itunes. Apple really does things well.

I totally agree. Ipod is the bomb. I have been wanting and wanting and wanting one since they debuted. Of course I’ve been doing the mp3 thing for so long I can’t even remember not having mp3’s.
My little one is cute, but only holding 8 songs, it just doesn’t get the job done. And of course right now, not a clue where the cord is. Which means the cord is most likely in storage. So I can’t even change the songs. *SIGH*
It’s great though, the songs i put on there are some patriotic songs… so if I’m a mood… great listening… LOL.
*SIGH*
But then you see all the nifty stuff you can do with an ipod and the wanting comes back more.
Unfortuantely Apple does things well and then charges you for it. *SIGH* Darned apple and their megabucks. I need to get a job testing products so I can get this stuff free/discounted. I’d happily do it! I like to try to break stuff. HEHE

that would rock! I would love that too. I think they need a couple of geeky girl testers.
I drool with jealousy when I hear about my pals and all their different mixes on their ipods. One has an exercise mix, a sleepyby mix, etc. and since she has like 3000 songs on her ipod she can have pretty much whatever she wants. Grrrr!

Definately! Not enough geek girl testers out there. I mean really, why is it that people think only guys like this sort of thing? And trust me, I’m the ultimate tester. I take my geekware everywhere. And with my grandfather and two kids that’s a lot of abuse! So they can get a good “real world” look at how this stuff will hold up! Come on! Puhlease! Hire me someone! 🙂
Yeah I am always seeing these neat add ons and hearing how many cds and the great mixes and everything else. And did you know there’s a gadget that turns it into a recorder? Talk about perfect! You’re cruising down the road and suddenly think of a new paragraph for writing or you need to interview someone or anything and you can just record it away! Isn’t that awesome?!
*SIGH*
Not fair… they need to be cheaper… Trust me, I’m watching Kevin Rose’s free ipod scam thingy… if it works I”ll let you know 😉 HEHE

He’s running the thing, it seems like a scam but further research made it seem highly likely. So he decided to give it a go. I am faithfully reading his blog daily to see if there’s more details. It is some deal where like if you refer 10 people then you get a free ipod. Mmm hmmm. At any rate, they are testing it out at The Screensavers. Kevin chose the gift certificate option and actually got one. Alex chose the 20gig Ipod. I’m not sure what Sarah ordered. But at any rate, they are awaiting to see what more comes of it. Pray it happens fast before it goes bust… HAHAHA And that it isn’t a scam. ROFL
Here’s a link to Kevin’s original article:

And here’s his update:

The question is… after you, where do I get four more people? (It’s sign up to try some such thingy plus recommend five people) HEHE…

Hmmm. Maybe a Dell MP3 might be better. More memory for less price than the IPOD market hogging, advertising blizting Apple conspiracy that is going on. I keep getting catalogs from DEll at work and at home. They’re tempting me.

Hey, i was a tetris junky my freshman year of college. They had it in the game room in the student union, along with Cyberball, which was football with robots. Totally kewl. now, if they had that for Xbox, i’m there.

Tetris is evil. That game is mega addictive. I found another one, if you can find it and have a playstation. Devil Dice. It is also evil.
Hmmm… football with robots… I might actually play football if it had robots. Hey XBox peeps?!
You are lucky. Best we had in the U was a foosball table and a pool table. The idiots at my college were technophobic. I didn’t even bother with the campus email because I didn’t want to go to the computers in the library and mess around with how the idiots before me had fudged up the system. I just happily stayed on my laptop on my room.
Of course, I think I was the only one with a laptop my freshman year. And probably one of only a few with a computer. One girl brought a word processer. Like a printer with a typewriter capability. What a piece of junk that thing was, it cost her the same amount as my laptop. ROFL
