They won’t let you go do other things because you just want to stay by their side.
A certain unnamed party sent me a book that I’ve been reading on my palm pilot wearing out the batteries. (On the pilot and my eyes which keep getting awefully droopy.) I’ve torn myself away for a few moments to try to quickly scan LJ and my email.
I’m off to bed… with my trusty palm pilot.
This book is great. I am loving it!
The fun thing is it sounds like I’ve read a lot. I’m on page 1200! HAHA. But each screen full of text is a page, so that’s only like 8 lines or something. (I dont’ know, if anyone wants to know for sure I coudl tell them… ) Anyway, truth is on regular sized paper I’m probably closer to I dunno, page 75? 100? It’s so much fun to tell certain parties this huge page number though and amuse her. OK, amuse me.
This story is so fascinating. Just when I think I have the gist of things and they can’t get much cooler? They do. I’m loving it!
Now, no asking… it isn’t available in print. Sorry. Maybe SOOOOOOON. (And if it is? I don’t care if I have read it already, I’m buying it! And not just cause I know the author. Because it is GOOOOOOOD. Heck, this one is so good I’d even recommend it in hardback! And I’m a cheap witch who hates spending money… so if I say buyworthy in hardback.. you know it’s good. I don’t even buy my Plum books in hardback!)
Now that I’ve teased the readers on my list with the forbidden fruit.. MWAHAHAHAHA… Oh and certain party who shall remain nameless… gaaah i’m more hooked now than I was on page 1. You evil temptress of crack you! Don’t you know that I can’t stand up against the temptations of BOOKS? Now that Farscape is over?

Book worms
Hi Ozma!! I know what you mean witht he book addictions! I personally haven’t had the time to read… so you know what I am reduced too??? I read on my two fifteen minute breaks at work!! How sad Is that?? A measily half hour of broken reading time!! I should get back Into It, I love my books, and have a stack that I haven’t read. Right now I am reading the Wheel of Time series (Robert Jordan) and wishing I had at least three more hours In the day so I could finish It!!!
Anyways, when you are allowed to tell, let me know what kind of book it Is and I can most likely add It to the on growing pile by my computer!!!

Re: Book worms
I have a stack of books myself, and that Wheel of Time is on my list. Never enough time to read them all. Too many good books… *SIGH* I don’t get a whole lot of reading time but thankfully I get more than you! How on earth do you cope??? That’s like… that’s like… that’s like Hell! AUGHHHHHH. My version of Heaven is a large comfy chaise, every book in the world, and a cute little manservent type to bring me drinks and food. My version of Hell is a land with no books… Torture!
As soon as this mysterious unnamed book gets actually published? You better believe I’m blooging it so everyone can order it and get first copies. It’s awesome!! π Well worth the scraping up of 15 minutes!!
BTW, I want to tell you, there is hope… I remember what it was like with a baby. I didn’t read a whole lot for a few years because of being so busy with baby cuteness and all their needs plus everything else. But about the time Joram turned three I was able to read a lot more. Now? OK, not a book a day or anything crazy, but I can generally get through a couple a month. On average. π Just wanted to give you hope.

Re: Book worms
Thanks for the ray of hope threre!! I remember tieing INto a book every couple of days.. not every two months or so!! So this Is beginging to be really depriving for me! I have become a tv addict, It Is easy to tune IN and out of tv… books are hard because they swallow you whole, and you don’t submerge until the last word!!!

Re: Book worms
I became a tv addict myself. Especially when Caramon was sick. I mean you are sitting in a hospital room… you really need easy escapism. I got totally hooked on ER of all things. I know, sounds stupid. I was in a hosptial watching a hospital show… AHHA Also the legal dramas.
But yeah, it is a lot easier when the kids get a little older. By the time they are school age life is a lot more structured. Makes it easier to squeeze in more reading. π I mean now I get a LOT of time to read. Well at least I would be if I weren’t at my mum’s. Now it is hard to squeeze in my shows, my reading, and her 1001 errands along with my 5 errands. ROFL.
