I woke up this morning tired, but not tired enough to be able to fall asleep. So I read. I finished my book so that’s good. I’ve picked out a new one and it’s a tad more serious than the last. I haven’t started it yet though.
I finished my one knitting project and have moved on to another. Gotta have something to do with my fingers!
I did some work for my calling today. Among other things I contacted the area domestic violence group. As it turns out they have absolutely no shampoo and other toiletries so Mum and I ran to the store and picked up a bunch of stuff and took it over when I picked up my information packet.
I’m hoping to continue to get good information on what we can do as a church for the community.
We ran a few other errands and came home. My parents took the cat to the vet and I ran some personal errands. We had to be out of the house today because Orkin came by to do something and said we needed to stay out for two hours to let the whatever they sprayed settle or whatever. It’s getting cold so I don’t mind. I don’t want anything moving into the home with us! *Shudder*
One of the things I did was go visit a friend from high school. I wanted to give her my number and get hers. Well it turns out she teaches piano to kids and she has an opening. She’s from Church and since Sir M wants Caramon to really learn the piano, this looks like it might work out. So I told her I’d talk to Sir M and look for our keyboard and let her know. Well Sir M dug through the units and finally we found the thing. We even have the stand. So now we need to find the plug. If so I’ll call up my friend. Another friend from an apartment I lived in who coincedentally lives up the road from where I was has her daughter in piano elsewhere. She’d put out feelers with her teacher as well. I think I’d like to go with the gal from Church though since I’ve known her for so long.
Tonight we watched the third Matrix movie. And I knitted up a storm! And I’ve been knitting all night!
My dad still seems under the weather. He’s got a slew of meds from his doctor. I sure hope he gets better this weekend. I’m tired of him being sick. It’s been too long and I want him better! He looks so pitiful holed up on the sofa. He’s over six foot tall and there he lies all wrapped up in this twin sized flowered quilt looking all tired. Poor guy.
I’m gonna go back to knitting and watching some tv. I have a few more emails I could answer but I think I’ll wait… Sir M has to work tomorrow so I can always take care of them tomorrow.

suggestion on the toiletries part
set up a box at church for people to bring the little shampoo bottles and such home from hotels when they travel. We have one at work for a local group. We had one at my last church. So I’d bring my own stuff when I traveled for work, then collect the bottles/soap and stuff when I traveled and drop them in the box when I got home. You can collect quite a bit from business travelers – AND – from families when they travel for vacation and such.
Thought I’d share that idea and good luck on your calling!!

That’s not a bad idea. I’ll definately put that down for on my idea list. 🙂 Thanks!!
