Sometimes really bad things happen to good people, and it is so unfair. Especially when it happens at the holidays.

We got a call today. Our brother-in-law is ill again. Last year he had a tumour behind his eye that had to be removed. We thought he was recovered, and everything would be OK. Unfortunately, it appears that is not the case. He’s had a regrowth, two new tumours have cropped up. He is to head to Texas at the start of the week for treatment.

Last week we talked to Sir Megabyte’s sister. She was so happy and filled with the joy of the holidays. And then this happens. Our hearts are heavy for them. We wish it was not the case. If anyone deserves a peaceful and wonderful holiday season, it is them. Hopefully though, they caught it early. Hopefully the doctors in TX can help him. Hopefully this nightmare shall pass and be but a fading memory.

We also learned that another family member in NJ has something as well. The details that Sir Megabyte passed onto me are sketchy at best.

They say it comes in threes. Earlier this week a friend of mine in Utah also went in for surgery on a malignant tumour.

All of these people we have added to our prayers and are constantly in our thoughts. I wish this kind of thing did not happen to good people. May the Lord bless them all with the gifts that they need.
