I am really excited about Balticon coming up. I was just hanging at the Balticon table at Katsucon and getting soooo excited. Woohoo! I may or may not be working the con. We shall see if I get emailed. They have my address now. it was good to catch up with Hal, my good old Ops buddy. He didn’t have his chicken feet this time. *GRINS* That guy is NEVER gonna live down the chicken feet!
I was telling them about Dragoncon and how upsetting it was and how I was tempted to camp out the BSFS hq after getting back from Dragoncon just to ensure a place in making sure Balticon didn’t have as many issues! They were like “Really?” I said “Yeah still tempted.” Think they want me. They were hinting. Sooooo we shall see. ROFL.
Not like I haven’t gophered that con. My golly, something like 8 years of going to that con and I gophered every one of them. I’d like to help out again. But then again with such a pack of you guys interested… LOL
Katsucon was fun. All anime. In a surprising turn of events, mum and dad kept the kids so it was just Sir Megabyte and me. Woot! We picked up a few new anime titles we’re going to order up from Netflix or something. We got the kids their first manga… we’ll surprise them with those books. Got a ton of promotional stuff of course! And we got to sleep in a comfortable bed. And now we are of course post-con broke. HAHA! You con-goers know what I mean 😉

Um… maybe about how much you dislike “Cyborgs Attack”? Heh. Though I actually really like that show.
Maybe a panel on SF as a mother (or parent) of two young kids… gotta be something there…

i love Cyborgs Attack. I love it because it is the best show on television to mock. I haven’t had this much fun watching a television show in… um… gosh I can’t remember when! 🙂

Oh, I thought you disliked it, heh. I was actually surprised how much I like it (even for the somewhat anachronictic tech). I didn’t get into the original and… well I wasn’t sure I trusted SciFi Channel when it came to adding female characters, heh.
Monica really likes it too – and she’s not really into SF that much. She hasn’t seen too much of it yet.

My biggest problem with the show is I don’t think it is really BSG. They really did rape and pillage BSG to get this. I wouldn’t have NEAR as many issues if they had just named it something else. That’s what I dislike.
After that the anachronistic tech is rather irking but I mock it nonstop so that’s good. The other problem I have is the camera work. It really is total garbage. They need to fire that guy.
The writing is so so, but it’s better than the anachronistic tech. Once more fun to mock. It’s really a crappy program, compared to what they’ve done in the past. I mean they did a great job with Sliders. Even when they were stupid and lost half the cast, they really didn’t do too terribly bad with Sliders. Iman was great. Farscape… need we even mention how awesome that was? And the two Stargates ROCK. The thing that bugs me most is that as far as things go, this show is really pretty bad. It is sad when we know they can do better. But, I’m a sucker and I like the show… but mostly to mock it. *GRINS*
