Because the Pope seems to me to be somewhat newsworthy… you think? My husband complained after 10 minutes. I wish he understood why I watch the news so much when this stuff is on. It’s been a while since I’ve done this. I just want to watch and know. I don’t know how to explain it to him.

I wish I could watch MSNBC streaming live on the laptop. LOL Then I can be my little news addicted self! 🙂

So I guess the Vatican is going to say something in about an hour and a half? I look forward to their announcement.

I heard the pope managed to write a statement with the help of those around him. He said he is happy and wants us to be happy. I am glad he’s happy. His time on earth is drawing to a close and I know the world is grieving. I hope they take to heart his words and take comfort.

I’m amazed by the outpouring at this time. Even China and the middle east are calling in with their thoughts and hopes and prayers. It is touching, especially from these non-Christian elements. To me, it is heartening to see how the entire world can draw together at a time like this. Put aside everything else. I wish that people could do this all the time. Realize that the squabbling is petty and just come together. Is it really so hard?
