What more can I say? It was great! I can hardly think of a single complaint! Other than “Aughhh too much program conflicts for me!” But that’s really a GOOD thing. 🙂 HEHE
I’ll have to do major updates another time. I’m rather tired. But I did learn about something cool. As you might know, I’m a total iTunes addict lusting after an iPod. (Only need one more person to complete an offer and I’ll be getting my FREE IPOD) So, I have not been REAL big on the podcasting scene but have dabbled.
Well check this out. There’s a new site. With “podiobooks”!! Think of it as a seriel. The author puts up a bit at a time. Your downloader will automatically snag the latest! Yes, I went to a panel on podcasting, and that’s where i learned about this! An author I met at Galaxy Con who is VERY awesome was speaking on the panel and does the podiobook thing. You can get his Morevi book that way. So I’m busy downloading all the chapters that are up of that so that I can have that on audiobook! This will be great for my husband! Meanwhile, I bought Tee’s (the author) other book which is also very good. I’m tearing into it!
Anyway, they only have a handful of books up on the site, but check it out. http://www.podiobooks.com Get Morevi by Tee Morris. You won’t be disappointed. (BTW the feed only has access to the last few chapters, however if you go to Tee’s website you can download the previous chapters.) There are some other interesting books, including a book that is ONLY available in podcasting format!! There’s one way to get your work out there. 🙂
At the podcasting panel I learned about a bunch of cool podcasts that I have now subscribed to. So I’m downloading what I can, boy is that gonna take a while, especially with the several books I’ve got going on! ROFL.
Have a good night!

How was the drive home? Daniel and I left around 5:00, and there was almost no traffic on I83. He already wants to know when he can see Caramon and Joram again.

Hey there!
OMG we were home by like 3. There was like zero traffic. Silly family. We could have totally stayed longer!
I’m not sure if we’re going to any cons this summer. I need to put them on my calendar and see what we can swing. Unfortunately we need to find some we don’t have to pay for a room at and I don’t think there any coming up like that. 😦 Keep you posted.
The kids get out of school on the 17th. We’ll be doing stuff then. We should totally plan some stuff. What is your weekday schedule like? Can you get into DC? What are you able to do? I live two hours from Baltimore, an hour from DC. Let me know.

Re: Hey there!
I have parents like that, I do understand.
If you really want to go to Shoreleave, you can probably stay here with D and me. Then all you’d have to do is pay for tickets, food, gas, and whatever else.
Points to take note of:
1. We have pets–a cat, a guinea pig, 3 frogs and a fish (the latter 4 not being a problem)
2. I am trying to get a room for Saturday night so we can stay later, but that may or may not happen or even be in the budget.
3. And, lastly, we live in a not so big apartment–however compared to 1000 sq ft it may seem a luxury.
As far as my schedule this summer, I work weekdays from about 7:30-6:00 (kinda sucks doesn’t it.) We are, however, free on weekends. I can probably get to Washington–though I won’t drive there, I am told Amtrak isn’t ridiculous. If you wanted to come up here we could probably meet downtown or something on a Friday, as I have only one daycare child or of course the weekends. Or I can possibly come visit you (but please know, I have only recently started driving on highways and am not that comfortable on ones I don’t know well.)

Re: Hey there!
I will discuss ShoreLeave with hubby. Besides, how small can your apartment be? Hello, hotel room? ROFL I’m allergic to cats, but that’s OK. My mum has a cat. ROFL.
OK, we’ll have to see how the summer starts to shape up. The boys are in school until the 17th. The next week sometime we are leaving to go to Mississippi to visit my grandma. So our June is crazy. Isn’t life always crazy?
As for DC. OMG I refuse to drive in that city unless I am forced to. I’m a big believer in the metro. 🙂
As for here… we do have the VRE station downtown. So you could actually take the train here. Though it isn’t really a bad drive, it’s just… well the whole rush hour (big misnomer there… hour??? hourS! HA!) thing… that’s the problem.
