**LJ Idol Season 4 Week 0 Entry: Introduction/Open Topic**

When first I signed on to this crazy adventure that is LJ Idol, I realized that some topics might find my muse unwilling to bless me with her creativity.

I had no idea it would be on week one.

In my muse’s defense, she did pour out rich blessings upon my raw fingers. It is NaNoWriMo time, and somehow I am suppose to write 50,000 words in 30 days. Today I wrote 3100. So to my muse, I say thank you.

That does not help for LJ Idol though. Pondering my dilemma, I realize the crux of the problem lies in my writing training. I began as a journalist. Trained to write about other people, I am not cut out to write about myself.

Normally I would blog this wearing my sexy negligee while lounging in my waterbed. No bon-bons this week, it’s Halloween. A pumpkin full of candy should work just fine. That cannot cut it for LJ-Idol. I need to take this seriously. Professional clothes only, though I’m sure some of my regular readers will complain.

So, what do I do now that I’m dressed for success? How do I introduce myself to the masses out there reading along with LJ Idol? To my fellow Idol-bloggers? I do as any good journalist would do. (Note I said, ‘good’?) Research.

What can I possibly tell you that a perusal of my blog or a google search would not tell you? Yes, I vanity googled. How on earth do you suppose I would do research? You should try it sometime. There is something exhilarating about googling yourself in the dark.

Considering how long I’ve roamed the internet and used this moniker, I do not think there’s much you could not find out. My name is on my minivan for crying out loud. So if you see me rolling down the streets, honk and wave!

So who am I? Who is this insane gal by the name of Lady Ozma? So many things and more. Who am I not? The list is equally as long.

Mostly, I guess what you need to know is the basics. I’m a mother, a home-schooler, an aspiring writer and photographer. If there is a geeky pursuit, I dabble. I’m a jack of all trades, master of none.

Ride along with my blog and join in the insanity of my life. I promise, it is never a dull moment around here.

For now, I need to return to my fantasy novel. With 3100 words written and a goal of 50,000 I am still a long way off. Good luck to my fellow LJ-Idol competitors. I look forward to the adventure!
