Never fear, I’ll not spoil it for you by telling you who died. Where would the fun be then? HAHA Taunt taunt taunt… Instead I’ll post a link and you can decide for yourself if you want to spoil yourself. 🙂
I read it and it was very cute. They stayed very in character. Though of course I am troubled by the fact this is a Muggle Newspaper and they definately let on who everyone was! I mean, the Muggles aren’t supposed to know about the wizardry going on! Ooops… but I digress. It was very cute.
So here’s the link if you want to read it. 🙂 Enjoy!

If the Muggles aren’t supposed to know … then I think Hogworts School must be very upset with Ms. Rowling letting all their secrets out in some of the most popular documentary books to date. 😉
I have a feeling I should not to click that link since I have yet to read the book, heh. If I go to Pennsic this year, I think I’ll take part of the series to read whilest there. 🙂

Books are good anywhere!
Hey! Reading at Pennsic is fun! It’s a great way to spend an hour in the hot afternoon. Get some shade near the merchant tents, get some Pennsic crack (aka Cooper’s chocolate milk; never found a better!), and sit down for a nice read. Good to relax and get away from the busy busy once awhile, especially if nothing is going on at that particular time. Plus you can meet people that way. Plenty of people made conversation when they saw me reading a few Terry Pratchett books two years ago. 🙂
Tuchucks, eh? Think I’ll be able to spot them out of the crowds? *snicker* 😉

hehe nope tuchucks blend right in. You are going to have to look really hard to pick them out! *SNICKER* I still remember the Tuchucks from ten years ago. Whew… what an impression! HAHA
Do you think you are going to go? I’m jealous. I wanted to try to go but I don’t think it is going to work out again this year. SOmething always comes up. First year here I was huge and pregnant. Then I had a baby under 1 and a toddler and thought that was too much for me to handle at Pennsic, especially since my hubby had zero vacation time. Then my husband changed jobs and still had no vacation time. Then we were going to go but were in the middle of buying a house. Last year Caramon couldn’t leave the Columbus area due to health issues. This year my high school reunion falls during it. ARGH!!!! I wanna go!!!

Awww … I hope you get to come to Pennsic soon! Are you saying you have gone before but not for years?
I don’t know if I’m going or not this year. I didn’t prereg. 😛 I went the last three years – every since I first heard about it and first got involved in the SCA. Last year I taught three classes on the history of chess and its varients. 😀 I would teach more this year … if I go. See, I don’t know if I’ll have the money or the freetime. I have no money right now and I have a looming $600 car insurance bill soon. And I have a very slim chance that I will get a web design job that will start during the week of Pennsic – but I won’t know until the week before. Still, I hope I can go … if I can somehow raise enough money for everything before August …
Hope you can make it soon. 🙂

Yeah I think I was 16 last time I went. It was so much fun. 🙂 My husband has never been. Best he’s been to is the ren faires that the states put on. Which don’t get me wrong, are cute and all… but well… they aren’t very realistic. I mean, you got people there in 21st century clothing for crying out loud! Hello ambiance??? And then the costumes of the workers… lovely cut gems you have there… did you know that cut gems weren’t really in use… I mean… not really… hmmm… And of course you have them mixing periods in the royal party which also amused me too. Anyway, I digress… hehe Pennsic is way fun. Hopefully we’ll make it next year. So far it appears to be commitment free. 🙂

Ah … 16 at Pennsic … was it easy to get into the parties? 😉
Ren faires are fine but I do prefer SCA events – mainly because I find them more interactive. I went to a small fair a few years ago and I was one of the few paying guests there who wore garb. I love Pennsic with the atmosphere and such! My first year I went home after being there for 9 days and I was … shocked when I saw people in mundane clothing, heh.
My garb is never quite period either. I can’t afford period fabrics and not everything is sewn the period way, etc. Plus I’m lacking in the footware department. But I make an attempt. 🙂
Hope to see you there next year! I should definately be going then. 😀

Well it is one thing when you get your own garb and the like and you are a paying patron. But at the Ren Faire those people are staff. You’d think they could have decent costumes that are slightly more period and stay with each other! You know what I mean?
Ren Faires are so much fun… but they just can’t compare with good SCA events. Speaking of which I need to get us going back to SCA here. They meet on Thursdays and two weeks out of the month I have something that conflicts. *SIGH* Plus the boys are still a little too young. They don’t do much here for kids. We started going last summer, but then Caramon got sick again and we stopped going. Never went back. You know how life gets.
I went to Pennsic that first year and then went home to band camp and felt so weird to be wearing shorts and tshirts and seeing all these people dressed so mundane. LOL What a hoot. And of course all my friends in Guard were talking about how Robin Hood Prince of Theives was the best movie ever and they were buying it on tape and burning out the tape watching it so much and I was just like “RH??? That’s for to mock!” LOL
Recently I picked up a bow and arrow again for the first time in several years. I loved archery. So I shot and I had a great cluster just shy of center. Not bad considering it’s been seven years since I shot. The lady was like “Wow, you’re the best one here! Where did you learn to shoot a bow and arrow?” “My Sca friends!” HEHE
