Happy holidays to one and all. Not sure what everyone celebrates but whatever you are celebrating this December, I hope it is a good one!
We’re just about done here. All we have is that huge gift that we aren’t sure what to do with. It’s a tv and we dont’ want to lug it upstairs but we don’t know how to get the kids to find it downstairs. HEHE.
Well here’s how our night went.
At 4:45 we left with the boys room finally be cleaned and so on and so forth. We arrived at the Contata with Sir Megabyte just over half an hour early for warm ups and the like. Well then we realized that we didn’t have the camcorder. He was putting the battery on it last I had seen so I didn’t think about it since i was busy doing the same with the digicam. So I left him and the kids and raced home and got the camcorder. From there I set it up and we waited and waited. At 5:40 the Contata began. (Yay MST) It was lovely. Same one from last year. Apparently they do the same one every year. Nice but kind of a shame that they don’t mix it up some. Anyway, Sir Megabyte sang great and I got the whole thing on a tape! WOOHOO. Now I just need a capture card so I can record with my dvd recorder.
From there we had cookies and red punch (Hello classic LDS function there). Of which I had donated like 30 cookies or something. Then we met up with our friends and they said they’d bring some Fazoli’s for dinner to our house and then we could go carolling. Great, except even though the lights were on and the like, Fazoli’s ignored them. So the only thing they could find was McD’s. So they brought sacs of McD’s. It worked out so we ate some food and then headed out. We went to five homes to carol. Four families were home. So we sang Silent Night and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. And gave goodies. Then it was home.
On the way home we cruised through some neighbourhoods looking at lights. We found some REALLY done up houses. Wow…
We got home just after 9 and then we listened as Sir Megabyte read “Twas A Night Before Christmas” and then the boys got to open their one gift… jammies!
Joram has a boy playing soccer on his jammies. And Caramon has different types of sports balls on his. Then it was a quick check at NORAD to see where Santa was and he was getting really close to the Eastern Seaboard so the kids raced to bed!
Well Now the presents are out and the stockings are filled and we are just waiting to see if Santa visits us! 🙂 We have him a plate of cookies. We drank some WildBerry Sparkling Juice. Milk to go out for Santa before we go to bed. Don’t want Santa’s milk to curdle!
Whew, busy night. And an even busier morning coming with all these presents!!! HAHA
OK, must go and drag the boxes out to the garage and wrap things up and then I think I’m going to bed!!
Oh final cookie count was I made something like 90 and I think we are lucky to have maybe a dozen and a half left. HEHE WOOHOOO giving cookies away! 🙂
Oh yes, and I promise to snap the tree pix tonight before we go to bed. Oh yes, and I need to set up the camcorder for the morning…
Oh and I can’t wait for Sir Megabyte to open his gifts.. he’s going to be SHOCKED. 🙂 I think I finally am gonna get kudos on a job well done. Stuff he’s NEVER gonna expect but be excited about! Go Me!
OK… I’m exhausted but so excited…
