OK, you know what, I deleted the majority of the post. It got long and detailed. So… here’s my shorter version…

*DISCLAIMER: For those who don’t like to actually read what is being said and just freak out because they are scared I’m trying to say they should not have a gun… READ for a change. I’m not saying that. Enough said.*

Grrr… I woke up to the lovely news that we can now carry concealed in Ohio. I’m sorry, there is no reason the average citizen should be able to do this. I have no problem with those who have a need to due to occupation. They do not bother me. Of course they are also usually trained and know how to properly handle a firearm and know how to use it concealed and the sort. But to think that I could walk around with a concealed gun? That’s just wrong. Heck it is wrong that I can walk around with a gun on my hip. (I’m sorry but not everyone needs one. And I have no depth perception and I have a really bad eye. Do YOU want me to have a gun? Seriously?)

I have no problem with people who want to own guns. Even though I see little real purpose for hand guns because you aren’t going to take it hunting or something, I don’t have a problem with people who think they need one. I don’t have a problem with people who feel a need to keep one strapped to their hip like Clint Eastwood, though I do find it funny. I mean I just can’t help but picture them getting into a shootout at McDonald’s. You know, that shoot out music playing and then squinting and stuff. It’s rather funny… picture it, it’ll bring a smile to your face. I also have no problem with people who want to collect. I mean there are some really WEIRD things you can collect so guns are not really that big a deal.

I just have a problem with the thought that any old joe off the street can attempt to carry concealed. What on earth is the reasoning behind this???

I know I’m not popular thinking that there should be better regulations on guns, but I really don’t feel like dealing with flack in my journal. I hate to be blunt but I know that I’m not popular, but I also know there are trolls who are going to read my post and say I’m just trying to take guns away which I’m not. And you are not going to sway my opinion by quoting me facts and figures and crap. So don’t. My questions are PURELY rhetorical. Please also remember the time I posted this so I’m a little grumpier too, due to the time. So leave me alone if you don’t have something positive to say.*
