Right now I’m up to page 100. I need to get to 150. So I’m about to start reading. EEEEK. I’ll post later after I read some about the book.
I spent most of the day sluffing instead of doing anything useful. I did get the housework done aside from laundry. As much as worth doing with two boys home from school. Ugh. They just come up behind and trash. *SIGH* I did spend a while talking to my mum about moving there. Some family stuff. About them coming because they are supposed to be coming to visit. Things like that.
Sir Megabyte did get his offer. They are Fed Exing him the actual offer for him to sign and return. So it looks like it is a done deal. We are starting talking about just what exactly we are going to do. *SIGH*
I’ll be sad to move out of my house. It is mine and the first one we “owned”. However the funny thing is that really it doesn’t feel any different living in a house we “own” rather than one we “rent”. I guess beacause of being military I just ran around and did what I needed to make our homes ours no matter if we rented or not. But still. I just went through and cleaned up and got stuff really nice. HEHE Oh well. I just hope that we can find something that will be nice when we move.
We didn’t get as much as we had hoped because of the housing costs but we are getting adequate. I will look and hunt for the good pockets since hubby REALLY doesn’t want the long commute. I understand his pain but the cost of living is high. So I will look and see what I can find. Hopefully the Lord will help our house to sell and help us find something good there.
We think we want to rent for a year or so to get a real feel for his job and where we might want to live in relation with that. I mean depending on how the job actually is will determine just where we will want to live close to. If he’s hardly ever in the office but out and about the NoVA and DC area then off 95 and near a train or something would be good. However if he spends more time at the office then we would want to live closer to there. So we shall see.
Tonight I took Caramon to scouts and let DH stay and work on the derby cars. Caramon planned a really detailed car and so it took a lot of Dremel Tool work and sander work and we think Caramon is probably still a little young for all of THAT. Maybe in a few years but not for now.
Tomorrow I start the paint work with the boys. EEEK. π Am I the only one thinking “paint” and “boys” is scary?
I believe that’s about it. I need to go so I can read my book some and then I’ll do some work on that darned script if I can.
I can’t figure out how to get it to let the user pick which picture to display. *SIGH* Don’t know how to tell the “displayimag” file “Yo, display the picture that is the number of what they chose on the index page.” I just can’t figure out how to get it to do that. So if I manually change the number on the displayimg page it will change the graphic. But getting it to do that automatically is not so easy. Please, anyone with advice, let me know!! I bet of you! Then it will be getting it to put in the text that says what they are counting down to. (Right now I only have two selections to go with pictures I have made. I made a girl missionary and a boy missionary. But if I get it working I plan to make more.) So anyway, I have it set to ask “What are you counting down to” and you can choose “My Elder Returns” and “My Sister Returns” and that’s it. So I’d like for the displayimg file to also grab that text and write whatever it is at the bottom of the graphic with the person. The final step will then be to have the user set the countdown date and have the displayimg file grab that, make the countdown, and display it under the “My so and so returns” text.
Whew.
This sounds so easy. I mean, that didn’t take too long to write out. But the instructions are HARD. π
If I get this working I plan to do one for the military and businessmen and women and I think even a pregnant lady with “my baby arrives in…” Won’t that be NEAT? It has to be possible. It just has to be. *SIGH*
OK, it is 8:45 and I’m pulling out my book. π

haven’t “seen” you for a bit, how are ya? Well I hope!
I’m excited too! π
Hmm, I may have to check flylady’s tips and see if there is anything new. I’ve been in 9 homes since we got married and before that I had moved three times in a year (yay college dorms) so I’ve got things down to almost a science I think sometimes… haha But any and all tips are welcome as you never know what thing you may just not figure out and it takes someone telling you so you can slap your forhead and go “Why didn’t I think of that!”
Since on my end it will probably be a “slower” move as I have the responsibilities of the house and all, I’m thinking 1. Rubbermaid Totes (same price as UHaul boxes, easier to get than boxes and they last a HECK of a lot longer and are waterproof…virtually) 2. at least 1 a day packed will get me there fast. I have labels. And plenty of tote storage. I figure some days I’ll go faster and some days slower. Like 1 day I’ll go and do the kids stuffed animals. That will be like one or two totes EASY. So I might do more. But on the day it is my china… uh oh… time consuming! π
But right now, that’s the basic “plan”. A box a day. First though I need to get boxes. I plan to try getting some this weekend. HEHE.
The counter thing is hard work but you know, my brain is farking mush. I never have to think hard any more. So this is GOOD for me. Keeps me alive. I tell you what, since I started working on it I haven’t felt as tired any more! I still have that dumb insomnia but I wake up fairly early (OK, I consider it early) and am ready to start working again!! Though right now I’m about as frustrated as you can get since I can’t get past this one point… hehe. π
paint+boys=scaredmum. π Why don’t they teach you these USEFUL math equations in school? HEHE

Re: Thanks!
ah, yeah, you probably do have moving down to a science =)
the biggest flylady thing i’ve heard of is don’t move trash, expired items, etc. it’s surprising how frequently this happens. i, myself, am guilty, which is funny, since it would make more sense to move less stuff, or at least as little as possible, lol. i am so caught up in the idea of flinging my clutter (not that that has my butt in gear, but… i haven’t given up yet =D) a box a day sounds like a brilliant plan, good luck with all.

Um, don’t move trash. Only time I did that was when we had movers. Crazy people pack EVERYTHING. HAHA π
I’m going to be decluttering some more as well. Toss Toss Toss. π Thankfully we really don’t have THAT much extra stuff. It is mostly crafty supplies. We just don’t stay anywhere long enough. We’ve stayed here the longest. We moved in October 2001. The place we moved from we moved into April 2000. Before that it was July 1999, July 1998, March 1997, February 1996, March 1995, December 1994, June 1994. And of course in May 1994 I moved my stuff out of the dorms to where I thought I was going to be staying but that didn’t work out. Then there was the move the second semester at college and hte move to college in August 1993. Before that I hadn’t moved since my parents moved into their house in like 1980! HAHA.
But on the bright note we seem to be getting more and more permanent! π I do forsee some fluctating over the next 12 months. We are probably going to move me and the kids into my grandfather’s cabin when I first move to VA and I am hunting. But then we are probably going for a one year rental home while we really scope out how the job works out and where we really want to live according to how the job works out. I mean if hubby is working in the pentagon more than the va office then we will want to be near there. However if he is working more in the va office then we want to be more there. It will just be how on earth does this work out! HAHA
Box a day… just need the boxes. HEHEHE Lots and lots and lots of boxes. Rubbermaid is going to LOVE me this month and next! HAHA I think I’m going to be buying like 40. I kid you not.
I’ve already figured out:
2 for China
1 for Scrapping
1 for Stamping (yes those two will take 2 boxes easy)
1 for my desk
1 for Sir Megabyte’s desk
1 for Sir Megabyte’s clothes B List (AKA he doesn’t wear very often/don’t fit)
1 for my clothes B List (AKA the same as above)
2 for stuffed animals
1 for kid books
That’s just what I’ve figured out so far. HAHA I mean, that’s 11 BANG. Plus I have movies to figure out and bookcases. And on and on and on. YIPES.

moving *is* a work of horror, lol.
last time we moved it was from apartments to our home, four miles away. we had impatiently awaited its construction for two years, so we pretty much just tossed everything we owned into our van and spread it around when we got here (its still pretty much in those spots, rofl). the time before that was from houston (apartment) to about an hour and a half from town (more apartments). i pretty much managed that one by myself, with a u-haul, yay, lol. boy, are we ever so happy to be out of apartments, rofl. now if only i could/would paint tha walls!!
oi at all of the containers you need!! i can tell they are really gonna add up

yeah they are definately going to add up. But at least they are reusable unlike dumb cardboard boxes. π
Ugh… You don’t even want to know about all our moves. This one was great. I was like “Woohoo” no more moves for a LONG time. *SIGH* Should have known better. By golly. Well I turn 30 next year and by golly my 30s are going to differant than my 20s. HEHEHE.
Ugh. I hate packing. Ugh. I go this weekend to get boxes I guess. *SIGH* Ugh. *SIGH*
I hear you on painting the walls. We still have the builder paint up on ours! HAHA
