Hopefully I will post pictures tonight of my totally different living room. I’m still wrapping it up though.
Today I:
bagged up all my stuff for donations
moved all donation stuff out to the garage
packed up the last of the vhs tapes and stuff
had entertainment center moved
rewired cable outlet to another one for satelite
reset up my entertainment center.
put back on my entertainment center the dvr, dvd, game cube, DVDs, game cube controllers and cables (it is not plugged in right now.) and the guys who moved the entertainment center put the tv back on it.
moved sofa and completely vacuumed it and rearranged cushions and the like
moved packed boxes to the kitchen to be closer to the basement door
continued working on cleaning the living room. Packing things/putting thigs away
cleaned kitchen, it looks great now
lowered the dining room light all the way on advice of the real estate agent
moved the table so it was centered under the light because the light is off center
Now, I must rest a bit and then it is going to be finishing work in here making it clean clean clean. 🙂 I’ll try to pack some more if I can. We’ll see what happens. Tomorrow I do have the two sister missionaries coming over to help me pack. WOOHOO. I’m not sure what all I’m going to do tomorrow but I’m going to try very hard to work really hard and then be able to take the kids to Adventure Zone. That one and a half hours? I’m going to go veg somewhere and do NOTHING. Take some time just for ME. Relax.
I am going to have to sacrafice going to my first real meeting for that book I’m reading, but I am behind in reading and I would really rather get the house done. I won’t be able to keep my mind on the meeting with the house hanging over me.
Whew… I’m going to go finish watching Judging Amy. I’m laying on my sofa to watch it. After it is over I suppose I’ll get back to work, but I seriously need a break!!

I try, try, try, but it is like swimming against the current. All 9 of us have our “precioussss” stuff. I did clean off 3 horizontal surfaces yesterday. I love the feeling it gives.

Well that’s progress.
Hmmm maybe you should have a FHE about families who don’t have much. Then challange each person to going through their stuff and finding a garbage bag worth of junk to get rid of. hand everyone a garbage bag.
Or make it better… sibling rivalry at its best… an award for he/she who finds the most to donate!! *GRINS* Then you can take your crap *er gifts* to a shelter or to Salvation Army or DI or whatever… Hmmm… bet that would get more… do that. Buy a box of garbage bags just for the thing… HEHE

I am going to combine them….a FHE sibling rivalry challenge! The only problem is, they will toss stuff I spent a lot of money on and keep the garbage.

I will do it Monday and sure, I’ll post it. In the meantime I’m streamlining my own junk. I’ve had it. My parents just stopped by to get a letter my missionary son sent them and I couldn’t even find it. Arrrrggghhh!!! How embarassing!

Yipes! You definately need something to corral papers… hehe. I have a drawer under my desk for all incoming mail. Junk mails goes in a walmart bag to be recycled. letters/bills go in said drawer to be dealt with at appropriate times.
I’m such a nut for organization anyways… ROFL You know, a mutual friend of ours got one of those tall plastic things with drawers. Has like I don’t know… probably 10? At any rate it might be good for your family? If it is less you could stack.. I just remember it comes probably chest high. She wrote each person in her family’s name on a drawer. She as able to give a drawer to certain “extended family” type people that visit often as well. Anyway, now anything that comes to said person goes in there to be dealt with at whatever time. Just an idea. *GRINS*
