Somehow I feel like I am failing as a parent. what’s up with that?
He called a boy a name at school. Then threw a tantrum. He tore pages out of another child’s notebook. Then threw a tantrum. He threw pencils, slamming his chair, and stomping. Apparently even after the teacher called me, he continued so he got sent to the office. They have given him recess detention tomorrow.
*SIGH*

wow, i wonder what happened to make him feel so upset? goodness gracious. not that he’s automatically excused, but this is an odd time, in general, for all of you. hopefully, everything will be okay. do they have some sort of contructive learning exercise (incident oriented)taking place during this detention?

I have no clue what happens in detention. I didn’t even know they did detention in elementary school. Guess I’ll find out. If nothing else, hope he at least does lines. But hopefully they will have some constructive learning excercises. (He could use lines though to improve his handwriting. He’s attrocious at that)

what made me ask, was that quite a few good kids fly off the handle when provoked. it sounds like he overreacted to something. i can’t believe he said ‘ this is boring’ i am so laughing. but i wouldn’t be (or maybe i still would) if i had kiddos.
speaking of handwriting, mine is darn near illegible. it has been so long since i have *had* to take my time to write anything that i don’t even *try* to form letters clearly. mostly, i make lists and sign checks/card slips. i have begun making clearer lists in order to shape up, lol

Actually it is kind of funny. Even funnier..did Iblog it? The other night the kids are eating… you want to hear fly off the handle…
Caramon drank Joram’s chocolate milk for no reason we could figure out… well i twas like the last straw for Joram. He’s like “Here’s five and almost a half years of big brotherly abuse from you” Next thing I know he’s beating the snot out of Caramon. We knew it would happen someday… hehe Boy it was kind of funny…
I don’t know what the deal was. He couldn’t give me a reason like So and so did something… so I dunno.
My handwriting used to be nice but I do virtually everything typed now so my writing…bites. About the only thing I write any more is checks.

That’s me. About the only time I get out other than that is for kid stuff. Though I am a book nut so that led me to jumping into the book group. 🙂 Plus I know what a recluse I am so I make myself do other stuff. I realized what a problem I had when I found myself taking the kids to an activity on Thursdays. It was from 5:30 to 7. I would come home in between. I would get home about 6ish and have to leave by about 6:40. That’s a problem! HAHA But like this week? I almost just sat in my car… I just couldn’t cope with the idea of going into anywhere! Especially because I had a meeting afterwords!! LOL.
But a lot of Saturdays (before recently) I wouldn’t even come out of my bedroom!! How sad is that?
