Grrr so fricking ticked off.

OK… get this

Now VA wants you to have a proof of VA residency in order to get your license. No matter how many forms of id you show them to prove you are an OK American citizen, you must prove that you really do live here. My fave? One of these ways is with a bank statement. And it has to be the one mailed to your house because apparently people come here, set up bank accounts, get a license, and then shut down the bank account. WTF??? Oooooh keyyy. I have NOTHING to prove I’m a resident of this bloody state. So no license for me.

So I go with Sir M to be put on his bank account. Due to the Patriot Act I must prove I am a resident of VA. And having my husband and his proof is apparently not enough. Want to know what they want? Your license!! See above paragraph.

So now I am: 1 Still Ohio Driver and 2. Not on our bank account that as of next week will be getting all our funds. GRRR On bright note… I do have access to it online mwahahahahaha hello bill pay but erm… food?

OK… so that’s two things that I drove 400+ miles to do that I could not do. GRRR.

Now… we go to register the car. We are told we need the title. I explain to them the bank has it as we owe like 13k on the bloody boat of a car. They said “Well you need to get it from your bank.” WTF??? No way, they are NOT going to give me the title. Five hundred phone calls and blah blah later… come to find out OK… I only need the title if I left VA (And drove through DC, Maryland, West VA, Pa, West VA again and then into Ohio… because that’s the route!) to buy a car… then I need the title. If I just move here then they can let some little DMV lackeys send paperwork back and forth. DUUUUUHHHH! But apparently only the secret society of the DMV (Hmmm Illuminati? Masons?) know this fact. So all the little DMV servents are like “Duh, we are like total morons and erm… don’t know how to like.. help you” Poor abused DMV servents…

So anyway… after not being able to do it on Friday and then spending half of Friday finding out how to do it we go on Saturday and then have to send the poor information desk lady who gives out numbers so you can wait to be called by a person who can do what you need on the quest of information into the darkest deepest bowels of DMV Land and the line out the door of people are cursing because I made this woman flee her seat she comes back and tells us we are right. Oh really? We are right? No one is going to give us a Title while we have a loan? Imagine that!

Wait wait wait… finally… VA Registration done! YAY!

Oh and I love this. We are an inspection state here. Took us an hour to find someplace that could do an inspection! *SIGH*

So I was going to leave Sunday afternoon but now I STILL have to get our county sticker so I guess I’m waiting till Monday.

I’m seriously wondering if I should go ahead and move here next month over spring break so I can get residency and etc and have access to money for little things like say… FOOOOOOOD. This is a nightmare. Plus I really love it here and my sweetheart is here and I’m really already not wanting to go back.

I love that I have my birth certificate (which is actually from here proving I did at one time live here), a valid Ohio Drivers card, and my social security card yet that’s not enough to get by the Patriot Act and other stuff. Give me a farking break. When do I have to start submitting to a DNA test to prove I am me and be able to get my travel papers that will let me travel between states? Hmmmm….

Glad that you made it soooo hard on the terrorists to do stuff. *ROLLING EYES* All I need is a lease to make all these people happy. So I guess our being LUCKY and having family here so we don’t have to go into debt to provide my husband a place to live is just wrong? Whatever.
