Started off talking to hubby and wished him a very happy 30th birthday. I can’t believe I had to be away from him for his 30th! I called his number, had the boys standing at the ready, I hear “Hi honey” and the boys start singing “Happy birthday to you! Cha cha cha! Happy birthday to you! Cha cha cha!” You get the picture.

We cleaned the house and then it was off to the gem and rock show. The boys had a blast with the rocks and stuff. There were games for the kids and some specimens. They came home with a whole bag of loot each!

We came home, had dinner, and then went to the “special pool” as the boys call it. The rec center has a great pool with slides and a whirlpool and lazy river and water playground. So off we went and the boys had so much fun! They slid down the kiddy slide and went in the lazy river and played with the water sprayers and did all sorts of stuff. I’m so happy they enjoyed themselves, especially in the water.

Finally it came time to head home. And we finally had some cloud breaks! Excellent! Not great, but decent. I couldn’t make out a lot of the regular constellations but the brightest I could see. And I did happen to find Jupiter and Venus. Without much to guide on, it was hard to tell anything else. Which is a dreadful shame. Since I did not put a compass into the telescope bag, I couldn’t effectively align the telescope. So all I had was a star chart on my laptop. I did find some mysterious star that was just not in the right place to be Saturn. I photographed it at any rate and just named it “star”. I’ve loaded everything to my website along with the pictures of our recent trip to VA in the albums under March 2004. Later I’ll try to post some thumbnails, I’m just too tired to go through it now! And I”m suddenly very hungry! Sorry…

Well that’s it.. now my feet hurt, and I’m feeling that “good” tired. The tired of having had a fun packed day. Hopefully that means that I will sleep well tonight!!

Right now I’m watching this ancient 80’s movie. All the best of the 80’s too. Nasty frizzy teased big hair. UGLY makeup combos. And the clothes… But mm mmm Harrison Ford is a HOTTIE. So while sleeping well (hopefully) tonight I’ll probably be having crazy 80s dreams! Just what anyone needs! HA!
