Enough said. NO MORE TIME CHANGE
OK, so today I read the first um over a quarter of Glorious Appearing, the FINAL LEFT BEHIND BOOK. I’m heading towards the halfway point. And yet… still no actual Glorious Appearing happening.
I find this series interesting. I know they have some things off, but that’s OK. I mean none of us really know how that stuff will pan out. So I go with it. Plus it is fascinating because I know there are a lot of people who firmly believe that this is what is GOING to happen no ifs ands or buts. Since I’m fascinated by what people believe… well you get the picture.
So I’ve been thinking. They’ve been talking about Chiam and how he’s the modern day moses. Funny, Brigham Young was called that as well. Hmmm. And let’s see… the earthquakes and weird weather and stuff? They seem to think it is all going to happen everywhere at once. But what about the weird earthquakes and weather we are seeing now. Sure not totally global at one time same thing… but still… hmmmm. Could be we are much closer to the actual “Glorious Appearing” than anyone thinks if you ask me.
The one thing that bugs me (and I had a little bit of glee..) I hate this thing where they have “known” when Christ is coing back. I mean they are like “Today is the day. At 4pm! It should happen.” No one knows when or where, says so in the Scripture. By the way… kinda spoilery… it didn’t… felt kind of glad. MWAHAHAHAHAHA It’s several hours later… wonder when it will. OK, no more spoils for you people.
Oh yeah, at the end of book 11 I thought person A died. (Hey don’t want to spoiler it.) It could be person A or person B. It was person B.
Going back to reading…TTFN

I have the book.
will probably read it later this week.
And I think I’ve decided that I’m going to go see The Passion on Good Friday.
Actually I’m missing church, and the ritual – especially at this time of year which seems to touch me more than Christmas. I need to have mom save the paper this week that lists services in Lawrence for Holy Week – I want to go to Maundy Thurdsay service – which has always moved me much more than Easter Sunday. I need to find a church – sigh. Pray that I find out that speaks to me, meets my needs, fits me and where I can give to them. Heck I’m even contemplating doing a relgious fast some day this weekend (dont them before). I might even take the new testament on cd that my mom gave me for my birthday to work and listen to it at work.

I don’t mean to sound like an idiot (I can’t help it, i *am* an idiot at times hehehe). Is this some sort of LDS book that you are talking about? I mean yeah i know you’ve been talking about it in your journal for a long time now (I do read your entries hehe) I’m just wondering if its something from the LDS church or is it independant?

Left Behind?
Definately not LDS. Don’t know what branch of Christianity. It is about that “rapture” thing that some people believe in where all the faithful are “raptured” and vanish and all the suck people are left to find their way to Christianity or evil within seven years. Then at the end of the seven years and lots of yuck stuff happening to the planet (basically a literal translation of everything in Revelations etc) Christ comes back (aka The Glorious Appearing…hence the title of this book) and judges people and sends the bad people to fire and brimstone and gives the good people peace and happiness. That’s the 12 books in a summary. π
Our Church does not believe in a rapture. We also don’t believe in any 7 year time table. We believe the scripture that says that no one will know the day Christ is returning so we just try to live every day like that’s the day and meanwhile look for the signs which may be literal or may not be literal by symbolic. I mean after all John was writing about today 2000 years ago… kinda hard for him to wrap his mind around trains, planes, cars, electricity, etc.
