RIchard Biggs, the doctor in Babylon 5, has died suddenly at the age of 44.
You were a talented actor, a definate plus to science fiction, and you will be missed.

In other news. Anne McCaffrey will be at Dragon Con. End of discussion. My arse is there. I don’t care if I have to walk. Also Margaret Weiss, one half of the authors we have to thank for the names of our sons.
Looking to see how much this is going to cost me now. Because I’m going. Not really how I wanted to spend my 10th anniversary… but you know what… I don’t bloody care. Anne McCaffrey people. I missed her in TN. I will not miss her again.

We can help you with hotel costs. Brycen tells me we have an extra bed in our hotel room if you want to split the cost with us. My bro and his GF/Wife may be coming as well which will bring the cost down even more. Its a room in one of the host hotels so thats a nice feature too 🙂
What do ya think?

Am currently online talking to mom on MSN Messenger. She’s about to spazz. I swear I think I can hear her screaming in VA. So if you are wondering what that eerie noise is…
Am talking to her now… just told her what you said. You don’t have IM do you? HAHA

Run do not walk to the nearest bookstore.
She wrote the DragonRiders of Pern. She wrote the Acorna novels. She wrote the Ship books and… she’s awesome.

I know. HIs passing is very sad. It was felt heavily at Marcon this year, perhaps even more than when Douglas Adams passed away – also just before a Marcon. Richard had come as a guest to Marcon many times and was well known by the staff and many attendees. Marcon’s always been a place were the guests of honor can interact not as worshipped celebrities but as people. They can chat, have fun, party, drink at the bar, with the rest of us, and not feel overwhelmed by their own notoriety. He was also the first star of a science-fiction program I met – at my first Marcon.
They were really hoping to get him back for next year. Next year’s Marcon is “A fannish reunion” and wanted to bring back those considered part of the Marcon family. A group of people who make fan-made movies is really feeling it too. Several B5 stars including Richard and Jason Carter did cameos for their movies (they and others are known to do that for fan made movies) and this one (still in post-production) might end up being his last film.
Also sad that the B5 big-screen movie seems like it’ll happen soon…
*hugs*
