First day I was able to do what I wanted to do. Yay me! HAHA. We got up and took Grandpa to lunch at Ryan’s. Yummy buffet and his favourite biscuits. So he was just pleased as can be! Good for him! 🙂 Apparently he was so happy that he even behaved for his PACE excercise class mum took him to! Yay! Grandpa needs to get out moving some more!! Apparently he fusses that mum is mean if she does too much with him though! LOL.

After lunch, mum dropped me off here at the house and took him to PACE. The kids played a little Super Bubble Pop and I did some things like checked email and tried to play catchup on all my friend’s journals and that sort of thing. I also tried to make a few phone calls I needed to make to get some things switched over and stuff like that. Then I rounded the kids up and we headed to my friend, Allie’s.

Allie and I met back in 1996 when we were living in Breezewood. They lived downstairs in one of the garden apartments and I lived upstairs on the front. She introduced me to The Moms Club which was great here! She had her son who was like two at the time and I was preggers with Caramon. We’ve managed to keep in touch through the years even with me moving all over Kingdom Come! She now has three and I’ve the two so the five kids were a pack of nutjobs of course! Since it was close to 100, they stayed inside. We escaped to her living room leaving a movie in the family room and chatted it up for a while. I tell you, her new home is a far cry different from those old apartments we were in! *GRINS* I felt like singing “Moving on up!” HAHA… She’s heading out for a vacation next week but we planned to get together more over the summer. Maybe scrapbook! (She’s big into that now and I put all of my stuff at the front of the unit for easy retrieval!) She also has pool passes so perhaps we can take the kids all swimming some as well!

I need to start calling and arranging more playdates. The kids are not coping well with Grandma’s house. It’s not like ours where they had plenty of room to play. It’s very cluttered here. Last night we watched Clean Sweep and mom got really interested. She seems still interested so I’m hoping we can do something!! We need to! It’s crazy!!

After Allie’s I came home and just relaxed for a bit. When dad got home we talked and he said he had no issue with us setting up the wireless part of the router. *SIGH* So that is on the list of “to do” now. I don’t know what’s going on with all of that. I figure I’ll maybe get him to do it with Doug and me this weekend and we can make sure that it is all OK and yadda yadda. I guess he’s still worried about hackers and mom’s computer. But since he’s got that behind the server which is behind the router and it is all wired… you’d think it would be fine.

Sir M and I played a little bit of Halo tonight. This level was very long and drawn out and repetitive. We kept feeling like “Are we going round in circles?” But we finally finished it! YAY! So that’s good. I’m not sure if we’ll play tomorrow or what. Guess we’ll see.

Oh tonight, mum and I watched the second episode of My Hero. The whole “Meeting her parents” scenario! Excellent! Mum loved it! Looks like I’v picked another winner! 🙂 Go me!

So that was my day. Oh, I did post a picture of the part of Mum’s kitchen that I worked on. I still think I should redo the cabinets. They are so dark. They are dark brown almost black inside and that faux wood grain stuff on the outside. They are from 1980 and showing a bit of wear and I think it would really brighten things up if we painted them or something but I’m just going to leave that be and not comment on it unless someone else does. I would like to haul everything out and reorganize the cabinets. And get rid of a lot of the stuff they just are not using. They have like an entire cupboard filled with cups! OK, normally? It is two of them. ANd they dont’ entertain. So why do they have cups stacked in cups and filling up three shelves in a cupboard? I generally clean mine out. But we also keep extras because of the kids and because of company!! But we have less normally than my parnets do! It’s insane. I might start snatching a few here or there and disposing of them so that it slowly thins out and maybe they just won’t notice. HAHA OK, that was bad of me…

OK… so that was Thursday. I’ve survived almost a week! Go me!
