Anyone else having issues with LJ not sending out emails saying “you got a comment!” or is it just me???

yep.. yep..
although.. I think Livejournal really jumped the gun when they decided to go without invite codes. The problems they keep having is that their ‘infrastructure’ can’t handle the load.. Which is a problem they gave themselves by allowing everyone to have a ‘free’ account.
Just my opinion.

I agree. I mean sure the invite code was annoying if you don’t know anyone with an account (like me… I wanted to join LJ for something like a year before I finally tracked someone down)… but at the same time it helped keep things at a manageable pace.
Plus I had just paid for a year so I could have more invite codes and have a couple of extra features and then boom… bye bye invite codes because they are no longer needed…hehe
Oh well, I like having a paid accoutn so *shrug*
