Ok, so this morning I loaded a game we picked up for the kids on hubbies computer. The kids computers are still out of commission. Dad and I have talked about working on fixing that situation but I don’t think we are ready to do anything because I think that we need to make a few purchases and he needs to fix mum’s computer first because something is wonky with it.
Anyway this morning at 11 I was meeting up with some friends of mine. So I’m getting ready to leave and I had put in just enough time to stop at the Food Lion by where I was going. I was going to be right on time. Well as I was walking out, Sir Megabyte said that he needed me to plug up the game cube as he was putting together the kids little tv cart for them since we had clean swept the living room. (Well half of the living room.) So I had to stop and dig through the basket of wires to find that stuff and set up the game cube for him.
Anyone have an idea how I can store my cords and the like until I move? Hmmm. Because the basket option is not doing real well at all.
So this meant I didn’t leave until 11:05. He is always saying I’m running late and should be more considerate and yadda yadda. But hello? I’m late due to children and my husband!!
So I popped into Food Lion and picked up a chocolate cake and a small strawberry one since one gal does not consume chocolate. I was in and out in under three minutes.
So I got to my friends’ home and I was the second to arrive out of four who came out. So that’s not too bad. Turns out ALL of us stopped at that Food Lion on the way! HA! That’s pretty funny. And the way we arrived I do believe that we just missed each other there!
So we had a great visit and ate lunch and yum the chocolate cake was marvelous. Brought home some.
It’s good to catch up. I’m going to have to hang out more often. Yay! It’s so good to have LDS friends again as well. I didn’t have to take my own drink, I didn’t have to explain to anyone why I don’t drink coffee, none of that! It was awesome! š The only thing was they kept talking about a bunch of people who had moved in that I don’t know. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get to know these people at some point! We did talk about our kids. So that was fun. It amazes me though because pretty much except for college they haven’t travelled like we did. So they’d say something that I could relate to one place or another and they were just like “Wow, you’ve moved a lot!” Yeah I’ve moved a lot but it is sooooo fun! OK, I hate the process of moving. With a passion. But I love going to new places and meeting new people. And learning about new areas. That part of moving has been fun! They are having a hard time wrapping their minds around the fact that my house didn’t sell in less than a week and that I was selling for a loss since that does not happen here. oy… the reverse of people in Ohio not being able to wrap their minds around the fact that anything I look at today will be off the market in a week so why bother until my house is sold!
All in all it was cool. Some of the people I’d have like to see were not able to make it which is unfortunate. I’ll have to try to catch up with them another time.

Could you please explain to me why you would have to bring your own drink and don’t drink coffee? I’m glad you had fun. ā¤

In Ohio
All of my friends would drink diet or caffeinated drinks. I’m allergic to asparatame and therefor cannot drink diet soda. And I don’t drink caffeinated drinks because it makes me feel really dopey. I know most people get jazzed but it makes me sleepy!! Of course I take non-drwosy Sudafed and it knocks me out!!
I’m also allergic to coffee. So I don’t drink it either. Also, my church says not to drink it because of all the harmful crap that’s in it.
Makes it hard when such things are just so “normal”. I actually don’t drink a lot of soda. I’d rather have water or juice or lemonade.

Re: In Ohio
I hardly ever drink soda, and I hate coffee. I always have a bottle of water near by. š
I thought we talked about this before… Something about how there was a common misconception that in LSD you weren’t supposed to drink coffee, but then it was okay? or something. What am I talking about?

That’s caffeine. Since it is an addictive drug that is where the confusion came. But a guy high up said that your eternal salvation is not on the line if you drink a coke. People ignore that. š Coffee is against though. Fine by me because EWWWWW

Ack, the evil of cords. There never seems to be anything to do with them. Even when in use they get all tangled no matter how hard you try (You’d think with both ends are attached to something that doesn’t move they can’t make knots amongst themsevles but oh we are wrong!). A few years ago we had five or six game consuls in our suite and all the controllers were all bundled together in this alien looking mass of tendrils.
Happy for “Me” days! Yay! Did you get a chance to watch the new SG-1 yet? That sounds like a “me” day activitiy unless you couldn’t wait. I watched it when it was on – which was a bit difficult since that was also the time my girlfriend called. ^^;;
