I woke up not too long after 7. Maybe 7:15? I’m not sure. I manage to drag myself up and get showered and dressed and the like. So I come to the family room and Dad’s already got Sir Megabyte’s desk about half together! Wow. So I start to get to work. Moving all the computery stuff from that one wall to Mum’s sewing area where we had cleaned. I start sweeping up and boy was it scary. I think there was enough cat fur to make another cat!

So after getting that area cleared out I start trying to work on Sir Megabyte’s case. His wires are everywhere I want ot fix things up for him. Especially since he’ll need better airflow with his computer being in a desk. I discover that he has front ports for headphones and mike. He didn’t hook them up because he couldn’t figure out how. The weird thing gave standard plugs like you would plug into your sound card if you were using a headset. How odd. Finally we decide to pop them through the back and in.

Since he was being a pain I ended up not doing anything about cleaning up the wires. I popped it back together and decided he could just cope. I did clean up his side fan because it was all cat furry, too. I did spend some time trying to search modding to see if I could find anything to help out and while I got some good ideas he was being a pain.

After putting everything on his new desk I had to slide it over to the wall. Well he took the time to hook up new panels. He gave my parents decent drops. So it is working on being customizable like what we had in our house. We have to clear out a space for the patch panel so it is not functional yet. But soon! Mum and I will work on cleaning out the designated area, the spare room closet.

Well all of this ended up taking until early afternoon. And whew, I was the one moving furniture and hauling stuff. Talk about lots of hard work!!

After getting Sir Megabyte’s computer back together mum and I needed to run out. While waiting to be able to do something more, Dad went on a vengence to clean and fix windows so they could open again after swelling. Wow, with nothing on that kitchen window blocking the sun, the kitchen is a lot brighter!! Dad agreed and ordered us to buy shears. Plus we needed to take Grandpa this new razor. Sir Megabyte and Dad had already gone out once to the hardware store to pick up those face plates and there were area rugs on sale.

Our room has no carpet. My parents pulled up the carpet some time ago and haven’t done anything about fixing the floor. So it is just that plywood. Yesterday I got not one but two at one time splinters in my left pointer finger. They went right under the nail! OUCH. My finger still hurts. So Sir Megabyte said we should pick up a rug. So we also went there. I got a green one. I don’t much care at this point. THough I’m so sick of brown since everything here is brown, I was debating just getting cream! HAHA

Well after all of that, we came home. Mum moaning about her dark chicken thingy that was taken from the window. She likes heavy coverings. She doesn’t want shers. So on and on.

Oh mum did do some work today. She hung up her clothes and she got together more books to get rid of. She’s moving along with that! Good!

Tonight I met Stephanie. We went to get sushi, which of course was exceedingly yummy. Then we went to see I, Robot. I don’t remember much detail from the book so I don’t know how accurate it was. Nothing struck me as “AUGHHH” (like say Starbuck being a WOMAN) but it has been so long since I read I, Robot. Stephanie couldn’t remember when she read it either. We think it was maybe middle school if it wasn’t fifth grade.

So since I can’t remember the book enough to prejudice me… my non prejudiced opinion is this was an excellent sci fi. We really enjoyed it! Will was of course funny at times which is always fun! The movie was well done and at least the robots didn’t look totally fake. We of course thought it was interesting and had a talk about how we are becoming more dependant on tech.

ANyway, I recommend I, Robot. I’m tempted to reread the book. )
