Woohoo… I was going to leave at 12:30 to hopefully have better traffic than last time when I left at 1:15. And this time I’m taking 8C dang it. None of this other crud like last week. Well then DH emails me and says that he just found out he has to go to a meeting and the room is booked till 3 for said meeting. Hmmm. Of course you know how a business meeting can go. Could be five minutes long or they could go so long they have to be tossed out on their ears by the next people.

So the game plan now is to leave at 1 and play it by ear. The traffic is so bad and it takes an hour to get there so we don’t want to wait till the meeting is over to go. So what we figure is since the mall is across the street and in fact a meto stop away, if I head out and he isn’t done I can just park it in the mall and hang. It’s across the street so this should work well. Not sure what the plan is for after the mall. If I’m to go pick up DH or if he’ll ride the metro over. I’m actualy not sure where he is in relation to the metro at the Pentagon. I’m also not sure if he’ll need to go back to his desk for anything.

So at any rate, that’s the new plan. Gosh I hope he gets out before 3. If we wait till three it’s going to be brutal getting out of the district. Blargh. At least we can ride in the HOV lane since there are four of us! (You need three.) THough I’m not sure, does the beltway have HOV? I don’t know that I’ve ever noticed since I’m almost always a singleton or coming at off peak times. (Only way to go.. off peak times.)

It looks like it is just under four hours from Arlington to the hotel. I’ve got the mapquest directions in my palm pilot. So I figure if we leave at 3 we’ll get there maybe 8 or 9.

I’m hoping for sci fi channel so I can watch Stargate and Atlantis tonight. HOPE HOPE HOPE.

Everything is in the car except the snacks we bought last night , my purse, and us! And my laptop of course! I’ll probably try to leave at one on the nose if I can.

I’m getting excited! Hate the drive though. Blargh. This is the last trip we take until Dragon Con. I swear it! (Says I before people call me up with cool offers.. haha)

Oh I need to get gas. So I’ll probably leave at 10 till 1 or something.

All right… anyone want to take bets on if I get the pentagon trip right this time? HAHA
