I just got done watching this. Everyone should see this movie. It was so bittersweet, so wonderful. I don’t care what you normally think of Adam Sandler, this is one of those movies that proves that you should never totally write off an actor. Sure there were funny moments, but the overall story was just so wonderful. So if you haven’t seen this… get it and watch it. It’s buy-worthy even.
I didn’t think that this movie was going to be this way. Talk about wonderful meaning too, that love can conqure all.
I just had to comment on it. At Amy’s SU party last week I was recommended this movie so heavily I slammed it up to the front of my netflix queue. I regret not putting it on there originally.

Adam Sandler has great movies… what are you talking about??? I can’t stand to watch the Waterboy, but I did laugh the first time I saw it – and Wedding Singer is AWESOME and the best hockey movie ever is about Golf “Happy Gilmore”

I loved Wedding Singer!!!
Happy Gilmore was OK, I really didn’t like the Big Daddy one. Waterboy I only made it halfway through. But I know a lot of people don’t like Adam Sandler. I like a lot of his movies. But I dislike a few.

I’m geting more and more excited about PUnch Drunk Love. I heard that’s not like his “usual” stuff, that its more serious… I might move it up my queue, I think it’s like number 25 or something right now…
Anyway… 50 was ROCKING!

I loved 50 First Dates as Well!
I’m a huge Sandler/Barrymore fan. They mesh well together. I expected a hokey movie, but really fell in love with the characters. Her family was so great!
Usually movies let me down when it comes to falling in love. It happens too fast in most movies, in my opinion of course. The worst, off the top of my head, was Pearl Harbor. I loved the movie but didn’t fully buy-in to the connection between Affleck and his girl. I felt like the writer wanted to hurry up and get to the action scenes by speeding thru the main focus of the movie (no, the main focus wasn’t the attack on Pearl Harbor, it was Affleck’s romance). That was a huge letdown for me.

I thought it was going to be hokey and I didn’t think it was going to be hokey good. But wow… this movie swept me off my feet. And I agree, they do mesh well together.
gaaaah pearl harbour… I just won’t comment. I don’t think I’ll ever watch this movie again. They would have better to tank the whole rather obvious… wait… I said I wasn’t going to comment…

hey where have you been????
OK, well PDL is on my list… I’ll review my list and see if I want to move it up or not… depends on what is before it…
LOL… I quote things way too often myself. People look at me funny. I have decided to live with this 😉 But since mine are random and generally make no sense… it is probably better than you quoting water boy… 🙂
