Whew, I’m exhuasted. But I just got done posting the blog entries I had written into notepad. They are very long, I appologize, but they are worth reading if you are in any way interested. If I didn’t cover something enough, let me know. I attended so very much, I had to limit!! HAHA. But I attended things for Enterprise, Charmed, Farscape, Stargate, Atlantis, Joan of Arcadia, Wonderfalls, Livejournal, Anne McCaffrey, Buffy/Angel, and much much more. Sir Megabyte informed me about the art, anime, Poser 5, and hacker forums. Not to mention when I stopped to talk to the people on the walk of fame! Whew! I’d be happy to discuss things further.
Overall things were great. A lot of the problems with the con were just simply caused by too many people being there. I don’t do well in large groups because the noise level tends to trigger migraines. As does lack of sleep. It was insane. I’ve seen packed cons, but this was a whole new level.
It does excite me about Balticon. I can’t wait to find out who is going to be at the con this year. Woohoo… May! May! 🙂 I need to scope out the LOCAL happenings between now and then though. See what there is to see!
Now, I’m going to go upload pictures to my website. And then check my email. And at some point write up what I want posted to our website news… 🙂 I’ll be online most of the day updating so shout me out if you like.

The LJ panel…
This panel talked about several different aspects of LJ. We talked about the new photo feature of LJ. We also talked about LJ versus a domain. We talked about the friends list cap (750 and one of the panel members cannot add any more friends!), and the filter cap (apparently 30).
One interesting point was over censorship. Several people have mentioned being emailed extensively over the content in their journal or on a group journal they run. However they warn of adult content so they don’t feel that everything needs to be behind a LJ cut. There was the point that you could easily make “non adult” and “adult” filters and use them appropriately. Say use only the “non adult” filter while at work or while your small children could see what you are viewing. There should be some responsibility taken on the part of the reader on what they choose to view.
Along with this went what to do if people read your journal and get offended because they think you are trash talking them, mad at them, or just think you aren’t being positive. Some said they felt that if they posted something that was their buisiness but generally if someone takes offense to take matters off of LJ to resolve it so that you don’t keep making things worse on LJ and end up on LJ Drama. Of course none of us really want to end up on LJ Drama. Well I hope none of us… there are those souls but I don’t think I’m friends with any of them.
We had a good conversation about journalism and blogging. Someone said they read that the major news people said they were reading blogs. We also talked about how sometimes you can get stuff during big events from blogs because the news crashes and burns from hits.
That’s the main gist of it. I may have forgotten something… if so, Brycen and Tauzero were there and will probably remind me.

Re: The LJ panel…
Yeah it is. We talked about what taking away invite codes has done to LJ. The panel gave me the impression they’d like to see the invite codes reinstated because there’s definately a lot more trolls out there now.
