It’s the return of the old seriels! OMG, this paid major hommage to those old seriels. If you enjoyed Commando Cody (Woohoo CC! We have those on tape!) and all those other things? Yup this is the movie for you! Every cliche, every mockable thing, every camera angle, every special effect has been reused for this movie.

Add to that just the fact this movie had like no sets. It’s almost completely blue/green screened. Hello there!

I will warn you, if you like crisp clear over hollywood-ized pictures, don’t go. But that’s the glorious thing about this movie… it has that fuzzy dreamy quality… *GRINS*

I rate this movie five out of five stars, must purchase it the day it comes out on DVD, and go see it now. Hey, I went to see it opening weekend, what does THAT say? Yes I actually went out and braved the freaks and geeks! OK, this one isn’t as bad as LOTR and people doing the “It’s Frodo Dance” during the movie (thank goodness, that guy needs to be beaten with a wet noodle and banned from all theatres)… but still. 🙂

Ok, this movie really was great… rock on Sky Captain! I can’t help but ask, will there be a sequel?

And now I have an intense urge to hook up a VCR so I can watch Commando Cody…. And it’s 24 hours since I watched Sky Captain. What does THIS say?
