Because of interest, I’m posting a little more on the bacon thing. Here’s exactly what my husband did.
He covered a cookie sheet and a baking pan with tin foil. It’s just easier to clean up with tin foil. Plus then you don’t tend to get those scary rusty black tins that people don’t want to eat food off of. Some people can be picky that way.
He set the oven at 350 degrees F. He used an entire package of bacon on these two pans. Basically he just filled them up. Bacon edge to edge. He tried not to overlap the bacon, but he didn’t see anything wrong with attempting to putting as much on as he could. He then placed both pans in the oven and baked for about 20 minutes.
He did not flip the bacon. Just set the timer and walked away.
Now the last few minutes the two pans were also in the oven with the biscuits he made. Mmmm Pillsbury Grands! Also, my mother’s oven is electric, heats slow but cooks fast.
After the bacon was done, my husband pulled the pans out. He tilted them slightly on the stove top using whatever was already there. This allowed for all that grease to run away from the bacon and to the edge of the pan.
We used an egg turner to scoop off bacon and we munched away. Mmmmm bacon!
Hopefully that’s an answer to everything. I hope some of you try this! It was great, wasn’t near as greasy, and the bacon was mmm mmmm good! 🙂 Enjoy!
