We got up early today and went to the mall by the Pentagon. We hit Frederick’s but they didn’t have anything. We ended up in Nordstrom where my mum found some things she needed and I found several drool worthy out of my pricerange wonderful lavendar things. Apparently lavendar is very in this season! Yay! I love lavendar!!
We took mum’s bag to the van and then went downstairs to meet Sir Megabyte. On the way we peeked in at Godiva and made plans to go back. We ate in the food court with Sir Megabyte and then made our way back up to Godiva. Mmm Godiva. And what timing, turns out tomorrow they are having a tasting of caramels! YUM! Ugh! A day early! Ok, repeat after me, “I will not go back up tomorrow…”
Sir Megabyte headed back to work and we went up to the Discovery Store where we got a great new game for the boys. Remember operation? It’s like that, but the game is a dinosaur dig! Neat! Mum also picked up an aromatherapy heat wrap. Lavendar colour and soft with lavendar inside… mmmmm. Talk about SOOOOTHING!
Never fear I finally did purchase something so poor mum wasn’t alone! Though I was carrying her bags! We were on the way out and we passed by a tie store which was having a sale on these beautiful italian scarves and so I picked up two. So now I can wear scarves again. Yay! One is a beige with some pale flowers on it for a soft look. The other is a bit brighter and blue. The white is the long and skinny kind and the blue is the more of a large square kind. I’ve been wearing the blue one today since I have on jeans and a black shirt.
We had a lot of fun up window shopping. Lots of neat stuff. I really like that mall. It’s a great mall, it’s really nicely decorated, it is bright and airy. There are two really great things that I love though. One is that it is literally right off the interstate. You come up 395 and on the one side is the pentagon and the other side is this mall. So there’s no real driving on Alexandria streets. It’s just outside of DC. The other thing I like is that there is a metro station in the mall. So you can get anywhere. You just go and hop the metro by Hagaan Das! Whenever I go to the city I park in the covered parking there and hop the metro. Which was nice since Sir Megabyte just hopped the metro and rode over to the mall on that instead of walking all the way across the Pentagon, Pentagon parking lots, under the highway, across another parking lot, the road, and then into the mall.
Tonight we had crabs for dinner. Mmm tasty! We found them on sale at the market and picked them up and then we were afraid of cooking them since we had no idea how. So I did a quick search. Boy do I feel dumb. Barely have to boil the things! HEHE. I of course added yummy Old Bay to mine! MMM. Two little boys were very happy too! They love crab legs, especially Joram. So this house has full and happy tummies!
