He came home today all talking about “The Business Plan.” He and a friend have come up with a brilliant plan to make their fortune. Apparently they will have they will make books, chapter books, and movies. This will allow them to make skads of money and be really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really rich!
Kids crack me up sometimes!!
Now we are starting Book It! Woohoo! The kids have to read and read and read and if they read x amount… they get a free pizza. I think the boys are having a contest to see who wins the pizza first. I love that Pizza Hut does this. I had totally forgotten about Book It! My goodness, all the stuff I got from that crazy thing, how on earth could I forget?
They can’t wait. Of course I am not sure how I feel thinking about taking my kids to the same pizza hut I got my book it stuff at. Seems so… surreal. *SIGH* We’ll use the reading time daily to work on Hooked On Phonics. Our personal prize for Hooked On Phonics is a monster ice cream at Friendly’s. So this way they can have lots of rewards coming in! I’m all about rewarding my kids. My theory is bribery DOES get you everywhere. 🙂

Definately would have been easier to get motivated to write papers if someone had been offering me ice cream when I was in college!!! 🙂
My parents bribed me and I’m just passing that trick along to my kids. But it pays off. THey are good in stores, they do their homework, and they are all kinds of cute! 🙂
