OK, so I’ve been doing a lot of photography reading. And taking some pix. Trying out the whole manual side of my camera. I’ll post a couple of the more interesting pictures under the body of this entry.
I took some pictures of the cat last night and today. I also took pictures of the cat outside. She’s a stray cat that seems to have adopted us. Mum named her Bossy. ROFL.
I’ve been learning about the focal length (f-stop) and shutter speeds. It is a lot of trial and error with the camera to see what it wants.
I was mostly killing time because of having to babysit the house. My parents got new windows in the family room today. They look real nice!
I’ve still not had any luck with the whole spot filter thing. Darn it.
Oh yeah, and I set mum up with a moblog.
OK: Picture Show and Tell!

This is the stray cat. I’m happiest with this. It was a fully manual setting, but unfortunately I don’t recall what settings. This picture came out wonderful. I wanted the cat’s head to be the focus of the picture and that’s what you see. Yay! My mum loves this picture as well!

This is a picture I took of the new windows. I was attempting to get everything balanced right. And for some reason it did this interesting thing with the view outside the window. Everything inside looks great, but outside the window it looks almost like evening as opposed to noon! Not sure what I did, but it was neat!

This is mum’s ball of fluff. The weird cat. I was actually trying for a little bit of what I got in that first cat picture. I was using the focal depth and hoping to get the cat great and the stuff behind her kinda more backgroundy. Didn’t work. But the picture came out wonderful!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
