It’s frelling expensive. 111 bucks for one month’s gas payment on… AN ENTIRELY EMPTY HOUSE!! That was my gas bill last month.
Highest electric bill I had was in the winter when I had a friend cranking the heat up to 75. It was for the same amount. Sure, a smaller apartment, but I know my neighbour set my house at under 68 degrees. Sooooo…
Anyway just thougth I’d like to rant… again. i hate gas. I hate Ohio for having gas. I’ll never understand why people say it is cheaper.
Just sitting here paying my monthly bills. I’m also still trying to figure out how Nov 03 and Nov 04 had the same exact gas usage. Since in 03… four people lived there. In 04 no one lived there. HAHA
OK btw I fixed my electric bill there. I had a balance of +110 and they wanted 25 bucks from me. Um… I don’t want my balance to go to +135!! I took myself off the budget plan. THe lady goes “Wow, your budget is working great, how are you doing it?” I said “I haven’t lived there since JUNE!” She laughed. “That’ll do it! Let’s take you off, it wants some balance of your budget but you probably don’t want to pay that do you?” “Nope not really…”

Regarding the ‘gas’ bills.. and the months being the ‘same’.. you should check and verify that they did an ‘Actual’ meter reading or if it is an ‘Estimated’ amount. I would guess more than likely it is an ‘estimated amount’. (either that or you have a gas leak that you don’t know about.)

Cause I was confused. The gas usage was on par with what was being used anyway, it was only like 34 whatever they measure in or something. I think what happened the time before was it was estimated. At any rate they CLAIM they did an actual meter reading. *SHRUG* Who knows.
Truth be told, I doubt they do as many “actual” readings as they claim. This month my bill claimed to be an “actual” reading again. Riiiiiight. Two in a row? If so only because I rang.

Right now I don’t pay electric because I have a balance of +120 bucks… HAHA So I’m letting that eat away at itself hoping this dumb house will sell. But 72 bucks a month in gas for a house I don’t live in??? I’m on the budget program so I pay the “same” every month. It is an average. My bill was over 100 bucks for this month. I don’t know… seems wrong. But it would be easily almost half again as much as it was had we been living there and cranking the heat up to almost 70 and using the water heater and stuff.
I hate gas. It’s too expensive.
