That downtime was crazy!!

So yesterday we did this dinner group thing. Someone in our ward came up with the idea. Everyone signs up and then you are broken up into smaller groups of about four couples. Your group has a dinner party at one of the homes, everyone bringing something.

Last night was at the Blight’s. And it was with everyone I knew, so that was great. The Walpole’s were there, and I danced with their daugther as well as the Blight’s daughter growing up. The other couple, I knew also knew, but not as well. They brought her parents, her father is a patriarch.

We had a divine dinner. Sister Blight made this apricot russian chicken piece that was simply divine. I mean divine! And a bunch of us drizzled the sauce over the rice and mmm mmmm mmm no better way to eat rice! We all finished dinner and out came the Walpole’s Jello Cheesecake (Is there any better cheesecake then jello? I think not!) and we then sat around the table, all of us with very happy tummies.

We had a great time just talking after dinner. We never even got to the game someone had brought! Just talked and talked. We talked about photography and acting, and homes, and travel, and politics, and a whole slew of other things.

I definately give this dinner group idea four big shiny stars. Recommend it, it was great!! So much more relaxed then trying to catch up on Sunday when everyone is going every which way but up!
