We’re getting ready for a trip to Mississippi around here. So I’m doing laundry and the like. Oh joy. All that travel fun! It’s OK, I like traveling, but boy can it get to be a total mess preparing and returning! HEHE Which just serves to remind us that we have to work for our fun!
My iPods is all full of music and audiobooks and podcasts. lots of good stuff. I have like 1700 tracks… it’s pretty cool. I’ve been getting used to my iPod and it is just so userfriendly! Gotta love Apple for that!
The boys got hair cuts today. Sir Megabyte cut Joram’s as he wanted his usual super short trimmer cut. Sir Megabyte and Caramon both went to the barber. Sir Megabyte got his usual cut and Caramon once more is spikey hair boy! Hopefully this summer he can get used to doing this himself as I had a nightmare getting it to spike. I’m so hair challanged!
We purchased Sir Megabyte’s Father’s Day gifts. He’s getting a small mp3 player. An iRiver. It’s cute. He’s busy trying to figure out his little iRiver. Of course I’m partial to my iPod… but the iRiver is great. His is just a little sporty one on the lines of the ipod shuffle. Only it has a view screen AND doesn’t automatically shuffle all your tracks (though you can do that as well). Sweet. Also it has a built in recorder so that’s neat. *snickers* Maybe I’ll leave him sexy messages saying “I love you” hehe
He’s able to put his audiobooks on here so he’s swiped my fm transmitter darn it! That’s OK. *SIGH* I’ll just have to get me a new one. I really like transmitting my playlists and podcasts and audiobooks to my radio. (I’ve been using the PPC to do this.)
I think I’ll have him do a write up about his experience with the iRiver 512 meg doojobie for our website. HA, think he’ll do it? Probably not. I’ll have to put up one on my iPod and the free iPod’s deal. It’s on my “to do” while traveling.
The boys got Sir Megabyte a new video game. So he’ll have something to do while we are gone. Hope he enjoys it and has fun! I miss gaming. Le Sigh. It’s just so hard with the current situation. Though with it being summer maybe I’ll pick it up again.
We took Sir Megabyte out for a late lunch/early dinner at Friendly’s. Yum! Yeah you can guess who’s vote THAT was. It’s all good, we are big huge kids ourselves and we love Friendly’s!
That’s about it… yeah… just a relaxing day (other than trying to accomplish prelim trip stuf). Lots of geekiness! Which is good because I”m about to enter the world of non-geek! Ack, two weeks off the net and the civilized world of geek goodness! How will a geek gurl survive? Thank goodness I have all my geek toys to get me by!

Heh, I can’t imagine how long it’ll take to go through that amount of songs. 😉 I burned an mp3 CD for my Marcon trip… Well, it lasted Columbus -> Cleveland; Cleveland -> Columbus; Columbus -> Indianapolis; Indianapolis -> Columbus; and Columbus -> Sandusky (and I have a few songs left). I did listen to the radio a bit as I left Columbus this last time but not long.
Me last summer: “A 40 GB iPod? I don’t even have 40 gigs of music…. heck, my computer is only 14 GB total!”

HAHA… gotta love mp3
It’s a great format. Tons of listening on one cd. Not like regular CD format. Who came up with CD format anyway? DUH!!!
I only have the 20 gig iPod. It’s only half full. But there’s a large chunk of that in audiobooks. Which we tear through on trips. When you figure one trip can use up one or more audiobooks… LOL
