On a whim I decided to start listening to The Pocket and the Pendant podiobook today. So I threw the iPod in the car cradle and away we went on our daily journeys. We listened to chapters 1 and two of The Pocket and the Pendant and they are now chasing me going “More Pocket and the Pendant! More!!” They really like it! Actually when we got home they asked if we could sit in the car so they could listen to more! ROFL They must be some kind of desperate for this!
Then they discovered that Season 3 of The Radio Adventures of Doctor Floyd has also started this week. They are so super excited! They love their podcasts as much as I do!!
OK, now we’re gonna go listen to chapter three of Pocket and the Pendant while waiting for VBS time!
Check out podiobooks for yourself. So far Morevi and Pocket and the Pendant are complete. Morevi was awesome! EarthCore (also known as Earth Crack to many of the 10,000 subscribers) is going to be complete in the next couple of weeks. Tom Corven by Paul Story is probably halfway done? That’s done by a guy in a tent in Scottland! And best of all? These books are free seriel downloads! Enjoy!
Oh and for anyone who cares, Harry Potter just arrived! WOOHOO!!!! Literally, arrived 15 minutes ago! Happy Dance! I’m halfway through my Vampire Queen Shoe-A-Holic book so I’ll go ahead and wrap that up tonight or tomorrow and begin the devourment of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

That’s cause I’ve had the boys in VBS this week in the evening. I’ve been getting home after my husband goes to bed. I COULD go get my laptop out of the room but figure why? I’ve had Harry Potter to read instead. 🙂 Sorry… hehehe I’m sure you understand that…

Yup, go to http://www.podiobooks.com Right now there’s only a handful. But they are quickly moving their tests along and will hopefully in the upcoming month or two be adding more books. That’s what they are saying. They leave payment up to you. It’s a free download but they also have a link so you can donate to the authors. All you need is an mp3 player such as iTunes or Windows Media Player. Follow the links to go to the author’s websites if you need to download past episodes.
It is serialized so you get a chapter or two a week which is kind of neat. So it’s kind of like a radio show from years gone by. Of course, I’m impatient so I don’t like to wait so I just kind of saved my podiobooks up till they were done or almost done. 🙂
There’s also The Claybourne which I don’t have a url for at this time. I’m not even sure what it is about. But I’ve been downloading it like a dork… 🙂 Also free.
I’m big on the free. 🙂

My library lets you check out audiobooks that way. You can download them and listen. It’s pretty cool. 🙂 Of course it isn’t mp3, I think it’s actually WMA? Blah. Whatever it is, I thought that was pretty spiffy cool. 🙂
Enjoy. I’ve listened to Morevi and most of Pocket and the Pendant. They are both good. I’ve heard good things about Earth Core. It has like 10000 subscribers of which I am one. I just haven’t gotten around to listening to it. I have plenty to listen to so I figure why torture myself when I can just wait till it is done and listen to it all at one time? *GRINS* It finishes up next week actually.
there’s another podcast thing like that called The Claybourne which I have been downloading but not listening to. (I really do have a lot to listen to.) I’m not sure what it is like, but it’s ranked very high so it must be interesting to a lot of people. I don’t know the address off the top of my head though. I’ll get it for you if you would like.
Oh as for HP, I’ve read through chapter 25. Still avoiding things though as I don’t want to spoil anything. there’s still plenty that’s got to happen in these last five chapters/80 pages.
